Ok, my DH is not a big breakfast person especially when eggs are involved. So, I booked the Storybook Princess Dinner. I have looked at the menu and it seems there is a lot of "exotic" items on the menu. Is there anything for the plain eater. And if not how willing are they to delete things from their dishes? (veggies from pasta or sauces)

Thanks

They will give an adult a huge plate of macaroni and meatballs and also if you don't like something you can have another entree (this is not well known). But seriously, we went in hestitantly and the food was not great but not bad either. My bil and myself had the salmon and it was pretty good, my sister had the pasta from the menu and cousin's kid (20 years old) had the large plate of macaroni and meatballs. The bread was very good and they will bring you more. The kids got individual appetizers, I think of fruit and cheeses and the adult appetizers were interesting and actually pretty good. The desserts were also very good and you can get extra of anything you want. Our server was very nice and accomodated our every wish. That said the reason we went was because my 7 year old niece's absolute favorite (has always been) is Ariel and the chance for my niece to meet her was something my sister and I could not pass up. Annually, our longest wait is always to see Ariel at her grotto, so to be able to see her while having dinner and with legs, we could not resist. We also did not tell my niece about Ariel, simply presenting it as yet another princess meal, as we have always been lucky enough to either get CRT or PSB and have done Park Faire several times as well. What made it ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY worth every penny and having to try different food is my niece's joy. When the character handler told us Ariel was there she had an absolutely stunned look and then when she actually saw and got to meet Ariel it was as the Visa commericial says PRICELESS. It truly was one of those special moments at WDW!

Thank you very much for the input. We obviously are not going for the food. That's what I reminded my Dh of. I feel better now after some input. :earsgirl:

The Princess meal @ Askerhus was the best experience for us(DD,her friend,DH,and me). It beat CRT and all of the other character meals by a long way. The food was very good, the wait staff prompt and considerate, and the princesses took time with each child. We're going back in June and plan to have a princess meal again.

go for the princesses not the food anbd you will not be disappointed!
The food is not horrible - just "exotic" as you say. Keep in mind the macaroni & meatballs is not italian like - more like a weird version of Swedish Meatballs. We all really disliked the food but knew that going in BUT_The princesses are way worth it!
