Storybook Cafe Character Breakfast in Jan??

Hi guys,

I am now able to book my restaurant reservations, however everyday we are there (19th- 23rd January) the Storybook Character breakfast says it is unavailable. We did not attend this character meal last time so it is my kids first preference. Any idea why it is not available??

Not sure why it wouldn't work. When it come to Disney dining, I always call because I want to make sure I get the day & time I want & I want the confirmation number right away. Just call them directly at 714-781-3463 and push "4" for Disney dining. Good luck!

We loved storytellers for the character experience & the buffet! Enjoy!

January 15-18 is the Star Wars Half Marathon; there may be guest that stay longer from that event that may cause the parks to be a little busier, but not too much. Busiest times would be on the actual marathon dates.

I just check on Disneyland.com and there were tables available for your date. I have made reservations online before and have never had a problem. Try again, it may work now

I just tried again for the 23rd January ( our preferred date) but its still not listing Storybook cafe as available.
It's difficult to ring, as I'm in Australia and its very expensive and the time difference can make it difficult too.
Very confusing

When I went to the website to book for Jan 23, it did give me several time options but it also had this note:

In an effort to make your experience even more magical, Storytellers Cafe will be undergoing renovations from January 19 to February 6, 2015. We apologize for any inconvenience. Fortunately, many favorite Storytellers Cafe meals and events can still be enjoyed at different locations in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa—you won’t have to venture far for storied food and fun while rebuilding is underway:

Meet, greet and get a bite to eat with some of your Disney friends at a Character Breakfast—now at Napa Rose from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
No lunch will be available during this time at Storytellers Cafe—however, additional lunch offerings can be enjoyed just a hop, skip and a jump away at the Hearthstone Lounge.
Indulge in several savory entrées at an all-you-care-to-eat dinner buffet, which has been relocated to the Trillium Banquet Room from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Looks like you might want to plan somewhere else.

Thank you so much- I was finally able to get it to work. We are not worried what restaurant it is in, the kids are interested in the characters, so Napa rose it is!
