Story behind the little girl that sings "Wishes"

I also heard a child went missing at WDW, and they found her 10 minutes later at the exit gate with her abductor and her clothes had been changed and her hair cut.

Its OK to post these Urban Legends but only of you label then Urban Legends with some smileys to say you are joking. Otherwise rumors start.

If you think this is real, its not.

But only false because they left out the part Where he forgot to change her shoes and that's how they find her and that's why you can't buy shoes at WDW.

Except for all the crocs and toms... And princess shoes.

But I know it's true.

Again if you are going to post this kind of stuff as a joke please use the appropriate smiley's like this ;), this :rolleyes1 or this  otherwise people will think you are being serious or a troll. :thumbsup2

I was touched by this story, until I heard this:

From mouseplanet

The original theme of Wishes is based on the children's nursery rhyme “Star Light, Star Bright,” and child soloist Charity Farris starts off the program with her rendition of it.

CM's make up stories all the time, TBH.

I'm a CM at MK and have been told this story by other CMs, including a manager, as absolute fact. I figured it was an urban legend, but many CMs really believe it is true, so sometimes they're really trying to give you inside information, not pull one over on you.

I am a former employee at the Disney world in Orlando florida. The song was made my a little girl that was part of the make a wish foundation. Her only wish was to be part of Disney forever. This is when Disney decided to allow her to record a song which was latter named wishes it has been played ever since.

LOL - I love the opening line of your comment. You were an employee at "the Disney world in Orlando florida." ;)

I think that CM's spread these stories to try to build up the magic of WDW.

A CM once posted that they were told in their orientation class (traditions? :confused3) that the rooms in the Contemporary were modular and they could completely replace all the rooms in one day and therefore do a complete room remodel with only shutting down the resort for a day. But they tried once to do this and it didn't work because the building had settled.

This of course is false, yes the rooms were pre-built on site and installed with a crane but this was to speed construction not to make them so they could be removed.

I also heard that no one is ever declared dead while on Disney property.

I bet you all didn't know that one of the talking statue heads in the Haunted Mansion is Walt Disney himself

This is also in several books, published by Disney...
