Anyone have recent SAB progress photos or news about the resorts? Hopefully construction will soon come to an end.

It is completely torn apart. Multiple months from opening I'd guess.

Just got my shipment of Sobella Soft pillows tonight and I am so excited to sleep like I did at BCV again. Legitimately I love these pillows! Big time upgrade from my old $10 Costco pillow.

I lay down on it to test it and it was almost like I was back there in the 2 bedroom again. Ahhhhhh.

Sure hope they're going to fix the uneven connecting sections of the slide. They were brutal on my wing bones and rear end!!

Any updates to how far they have come?

I have a reservation in early June and wondered if I should keep it or swap it for BWV? It’s not that I mind if SAB is still closed but I would mind if the other pools are totally crowded.

I know they haven’t given any dates yet only through June but was kind of hoping it would be ready.

I'm not sure I would count on SAB in early June. Many months ago they actually changed the end of refurb date from May and extended through June, so they must feel they need the time. In early June it's going to be hot, and the 3 quiet pools are likely to be very full. But you never know - it's possible things could move along and they open by the end of May. I'm sure they're anxious to get the work done. But if the pools are important to you during your stay, I might try BWV this trip.

I'm not sure I would count on SAB in early June. Many months ago they actually changed the end of refurb date from May and extended through June, so they must feel they need the time. In early June it's going to be hot, and the 3 quiet pools are likely to be very full. But you never know - it's possible things could move along and they open by the end of May. Thanks, I might make the switch but I will wait a 1-2 more weeks and wait until just before my points goes into holding. Maybe and just maybe there will be a soft opening of the sort while I’m there.

Nothing yet and we check in to end June at BCV starting our stay at BWV.

Crazy to think it could take so long they need to delay even further. Meanwhile Universal could likely build a whole new park in that time lol.

We are checking in 6/30 and I received the standard refurbishment email 2 days after booking about 2 weeks ago. I keep holding out hope it will be ready and we won’t have to change last minute.

Weird I booked longer ago and I haven’t received anything.
But I have both BCV and BWV booked and I will most likely cancel BCV if the pool is not ready. Not because SAB is a must but because the other pools will be crowded due to the closure of SAB. Afterall I need a pool but not a crowded one.

We will be having our first stay at BC in early June. Since we have never been there before, just wanted to see from some of the seasoned folks on here if there are any tips you could pass along. We are aware of the refurbishment at Stormalong. When going to the studios do most folks walk there and skyliner/boat back? Seems like it may be quicker in the morning to walk there when the feet/legs are fresh and hop something back? How's transport to MK in the morning if we want to get there for the early admission, should we plan to be at the stop super early? What time do the Boardwalk activities start up, or is that even a thing post COVID? We have been since COVID but it was Thanksgiving so we had breakfast at BC and then walked around the area but we have never been there in the evening. Walk to Epcot seems to be 5-10 minutes depending on where the room is, so I'm assuming that's fairly direct and not an issue, since we generally come in from the other side of Epcot, should one rope drop Remy's instead of walking clear over to Guardian's? Thanks for all the thoughts!

You have many questions, but the only one I have personal knowledge of is the one I'll answer - if staying at BC/BCV, you have 3 decent options for getting to HS. Skyliner, Friendship Boat, Walk. From the main lobby at BC, it's almost exactly 1 mile to walk to the main entrance at HS. We've found that's the route we almost always do in the mornings. It's about a 15-20 minute walk, depending on pace. The Friendship ride from the YC marina has one stop on the way, and we've found that to be about the same amount of time to get to the main entrance. The Skyliner is a 5-minute walk from BC, and then you need to ride to CBR and change Skyliner lines to get to HS. On a really good day, we've done that trip in 20 minutes. Most trips, it's been closer to 30 for us. Depending how much walking we've done at HS (and how hot it is), we often take the Friendship back, or we'll walk.... Others will need to chime in on your other questions. We're not rope-drop folks! But I can tell you Remy is very convenient from the IG entrance to EPCOT..... that's where I'd go!!

Staying at BCV for the upcoming MM event and have friends that will be joining us for MM, but they are not on our reservation as they live locally. Can they go to BCV gate and provide our name to meet us? I'd really like to enter Epcot through International Gateway.

You mean to park? Yes, if they give the guard your name and room number, they should be allowed into the BC parking lot.
