Does this pool close early in the evening? I could have sworn somewhere along the way I read that it closed at nine??? Thanks in advance for the clarification :)

Not sure when you will be going but when we were there at the end of June 2007 the pool closed at 8:00PM. On our last night there July 1 they closed at 10:00PM and the life guard stated the 10:00PM closing was for the summer. Not sure what time they close during the other seasons. I am sure someone will be able to give you other times as well.

We just got back a month ago and SAB was locked up at 8:00pm. That was one of our big complaints of the trip. There is a small pool, but because SAB was closed it was Soooooo crowded. We couldn't enjoy it.:confused3

Not sure what time it closes, but I do know that DS17 was swimming at POR two weeks ago at midnight! There were about a dozen people in the pool then. I would think they would all be about the same.

SAB closes between 6:00 and 8:00 pm most of the year, staying open until 10:00 during peak holiday times in the hotter months.

It might close even earlier than 6:00 on cold and/or rainy days in the slower seasons.

Those pools don't close. The life gaurds just go off duty at a certain time. SAB Locks up. You can't get in.

That's why I liked staying at CBR. There were lots of people swimming up until midnight and it was so much fun! The poolside bar was open late, music was playing and it made for a fun atmosphere. When we stayed at BC, the pool was usually closed by 8pm. I still love the BC but hate that the pool closes so early.

We asked one of the life guards there why they didn't allow people to swim 24 hrs as with other resorts.

He told me it's because SAB is looked upon as a water park and they have to have life guards on duty when guests are in the pool. It would be like opening BB or TL without any guards on duty.

My family and I spent 10 days there in August '06 and they closed SAB whenever it looked like rain. My boys spent more time in the quiet pool then at SAB and this was one of the reasons we chose this resort (not to mention the short walk to Epcot).

Even though SAB is closed go to the quiet pool at the Beach Club!

Last year we had a waterview overlooking the quiet pool

There were always kids late at night swimming in it...and in the morning ....ducks!!!! :thumbsup2

We'll be going the last week of August so is this still considered summer hours? Would it stay open until ten? So the BC has a quiet pool but the YC doesn't? Just want to make sure I have my options all straightened out before I commit :) Thanks for your help :thumbsup2

He's is correct. Because of the size of SAB and because they have that swirly water area where the water swirls you around they must have lifeguards.

The last week in August it stays open to 10:00. My kids always use the quiet pool at BC. It was never ever crowded especially late at night. I did have to warn them to make sure they keep their voices down because of the surrounding villas.

Great pictures of the BCV pool. There is also a "quiet" pool at the BC for guests of that resort.
