I read somewhere that DVC members can use the pools at any of the resorts. But I recall maybe NOT SAB? If I stay at BWV, can I hop over to BCV and use SAB? Thanks for your help!

Sorry. No one is allowed to pool hop to SAB. Enjoy the BWV pool and slide!

Have you been to SAB? I see that pool hopping is not allowed there & was wondering what the draw was? Is it just a small pool & that is why they don't allow hopping there?
The Boardwalk slide looks awesome :thumbsup2

You obviously haven't seen the SAB slide, even better.

SAB is probably the most diverse of the resort pools in WDW. It features a sandy bottom, lazy river, and the best (by most accords anyway) pool slide. If you're a pool person, SAB is definitely worth a look-see.

Do you know where I might find some pictures of the pool, slide, & lazy river?

I like the ones on tagrel's site http://www.tagrel.com/

By the way, SAB is very cool and very well loved, and I don't like it - not with my own kids at their age. If you look over photos you'll see its not laid out in a fashion that would let a parent sit on a lawn chair and WATCH their kids. The lazy river is eight feet deep right off the edge, and the pool has currents. The entrance to the slide can not be seen from where the slide comes out - and is on the other end of the complex from where a small child would be playing.

This is an awesome pool if your kids are the age where you are in the water with them every moment, and an awesome pool if your kids are at the age where you can say "be back in the room at 4:00" - and a grey hair inducing pack your box of Loreal pool for those years in between.

Not only can DVC not hop to SAB, they also cannot hop to any of the pools at YC/BC/BCV or AKL at this time. And there are periods of time where all pool hopping is blacked out for members, usually around holidays or other busy times.

Very True. We were at BCV this past June and agree that its a great pool and the kids loved it - but yes, it can be very challenging to keep track of the little ones; especially when they walk around the corner, out sight, to climb the giant spiral staircase to get to the pirateship slide. Fortunately the kids spent most of their time in the spinning whirlpool part of the pool; which made it easier for us to keep any eye on all 4 of them.
I will say that stormalong has more lifeguards than I have ever seen at any pool complex - and the lifeguards were vocal and highly attentive.
