I was just on the phone with a friend checking in at the Polynesian Concierge and they have closed the beach and the pool because the storm is coming in.

Hope it does not hit like last year.

Oh my! :earseek: That's terrible. Does this mean the boat will not be running? Thanks for the info!

It depends on the wind and lightning. If either is bad they will stop the boats. I believe he said for now the big issue is the lightning but he said it is getting ugly.

Is this a band caused by the hurricane, or one of the infamous afternoon storms? On at least 2 occassions that we were in the MK, we had to be moved to a safe location due to the threat of tornado's. A scary situation, I hope everyone is safe.

The storms we are having this afternoon are not part of hurricane Dennis. These are just storms kicked up by the tropical moisture in the area. We won't see anything from Dennis until tomorrow.

Ok I jumped to conclusions on that one. It was just a normal afternoon storm coming through. Sorry to worry anyone. I will have some new news on the new rooms at the Polynesian soon. My friend saw some of them being worked on and it looks like maybe they are keeping the buildings open and doing a few floors at a time.

:flower: You might want to edit your title so people don't get alarmed....

FYI, it hasn't rained in Orlando at all today. :)

Dont you love how it rains in Orlando? One night we were at the BW, walked to MGM, took the bus to the TTC, all totally dry. When we arrived at the TTC, everyone was dripping wet, wearing ponchos, and there were puddles everywhere. Go figure! :teeth:
