Storm Door - Larson or Pella?????

We purchased a storm door last year from Pella. They no longer carry the same style at Lowes. The one they want to sell me is $60 more!

But I can get a similar door from Larson that is $100 less.

I'm not sure if the price difference is quality or the name?!

Any opinions?

We have a Larson and love it, it has survived DD's escapes out of it. Ours has the screen that is stored in the top, you just slide the glass down and there is the screen.

Of course, we are about to sell our house and that fun door, that last big home improvement we did. (Did the whole door too)

We bought a Larson storm door (appx $180) and within 2 yrs. for no known reason it started corroding through on the bottom. Needless to say our nx door will not be a Larson.

I had the same exact thing happen to my Larson Storm door. I would NEVER buy another Larson door. It looked nice but the quality is obviously questionable. You get what you pay for.

If I were you I would go with the Pella if those 2 are your only choices.

we had a full view forever door that I loved the look of but it did not last
handle and bottom were rotting
we have a Larsen full view now and it will be 2 yrs in August and is holding up well
I don't know anything about the pella's

I have a Pella. It's great except it doesn't seem to catch properly when it closes. Hmmmmmmmmm...

I'm not happy with Larson either. We've already gone through 2 handles and now the 3rd one is giving us problems. The first 2 snapped right off in our hands.
