Some folks are going to get hit again with big snow. I'm going to the store today to stock up on soup, fruit and veggies. Also checking the milk supply, nothing better than a big mug of hot chocolate on a snow day!!!

Coffee, cake, cookies and maybe some leftover pizza.

I always make sure I have stuff to make sandwiches..... if we lose power, I can't cook anything. oh and I was just informed that I also need to get hot dogs.....apparently if we lose power, my kids are going to cook hot dogs in my fireplace:rolleyes: I wonder who's idea THAT was......

I guess here in Ohio we are suppose to get the BIG snow on Tues. I better get out today and get milk, bread, sandwich supplies. Probably more hot chocolate, too.

Everyone keep warm and safe!

I just did my regular weekly shopping on Saturday. Don't need to make a special run to the store for storm supplies.

Although, when I got home I realized I forgot the kidney beans for the chili I'm making on storm day. UGH! Gotta go back now and get them. I'm dreading the prospect of being out among all the panickers.

I also need to do my Valentine shopping today. I really think it's my last chance.

Darn. I was hoping today could just be a quiet laundry/dissing day.

I am so glad you said that! I didn't realize how close it was. I guess I'm off to the mall today, too.

OK-adding cookies, cake, valentine's stuff, deli meat.
When I was in my 20's, coke and cigs would have been my supplies! lol!

I always have cookie making supplies around. I don't buy anything just for the snow. I totally forgot about Valentines Day though so I guess I will be shopping for chocolate and gifts!

We have a pantry full of food at all time--actually, a pantry plus a big storage room for canned goods, etc in the basement. I always keep dry milk & evaporated milk, as well. Frozen bread in the freezer.

I got that from my mom--it's nice to have a supply so you don't have to run to the store all the time. We could live on that stuff for 2 to 3 months, if we had to. :rotfl:

Margarita's and nachos to snack on while I watch storm news on the weather channel and wonder "What the heck is all that white stuff". :lmao:

I always have a supply of soup and sandwich makings but I still end up running out for milk and bread. I don't like frozen bread so I won't keep any in the freezer so while I'm out I toss some goodies in my basket. I never thought about the toasted hot dogs though, so I am adding them to my list.

Can goods, gas (especially if you have a generator), bread, matches.

And if it were me, nudie magazines so the wife doesn't get annoyed with me constantly groping her. :teeth:

Show of hands, whos shocked?

I went and did my weekly shopping yesterday just to avoid the madhouse that I know the store will be. Of course I forgot a few things, so I'll have to go back. Ugh! But I was already in good shape on a lot of things, so I mostly did the shopping for my daycare.

Has anyone heard a concrete snow total? I live in east central IN and the weather forecasts are being hush hush about it. I finally heard early predictions are at 5-10", but it could be more. I guess we'll have to wait a little longer to hear for sure.

In Atlanta everyone goes out for milk, bread and toilet paper. I guess they feel they need those things for the 5 or 6 hours they can't leave their house. It almost always melts by noon.

Same here! :rotfl:
We're out in the sticks--c.o. location--so don't want to be doing the back & forth thing!
We do have a general store across the street.
DH uses that for beer, 'an up-to-date-exchange-of-info (men don't gossip ;) ) & kerosene.
Since our well pump is electric, we do make sure we have plenty of gallon jugs filled with water for the all important toilet flushing!
Sand for the stairsteps~
Sterno~
