If you have to park your car and then use a rollator walker, manual wheelchair, or other mobility aid to get to where you rent an ECV for the day, will Disney let you leave your personal device there/have a secure place to store it while you use the ECV? Thanks in advance.

Use a storage locker, normally near ECV RENTALS, inside the park (no free storage):
.
At the four Theme Parks, the policy is:
•Large Locker: $9.00 per day plus a $5.00 key deposit
•Small Locker: $7.00 per day plus a $5.00 key deposit
•Deposits refunded when the key is returned.
•Key must be turned in within an hour of the park closing.
•Key operated lockers can be accessed as often as you like.
•Coin operated lockers require the coins for each entry
.
When visiting more than one theme park on the same day:
•Return the key for the $5.00 deposit and get a receipt.
•Take the receipt to the next theme park.
•Present the receipt, pay the $5.00 key deposit and you'll have a locker

Thank you. Do they have the same lockers at Disney Springs or only in the parks?

I don't think most walkers, rollators or manual wheelchairs will fit in a locker ... o_O

OP, I have read reports that they will store personal equipment while using a rental. Hopefully someone else will be along to confirm that.

Enjoy your vacation!

Also walker dimensions are 25" 23" and 31" sp it won't fit.

Do they have valet wheelchairs to help get people from their cars to the rental location? I don't see how else to do it.

there is a spot but if there are any there is another story. never found one at MK which has the longest walk to ferry or monorail. what is true today may not be tomorrow. and they will not allow someone else to rent for you and bring outside the gate to get you

if you have a HC parking tag you will park closer, they do have wheel chair for your use ( from the parking to whee you pick up wheel chairs) some times you have to walk to get them, and they may not be there all the time,

if you are going with someone have them drop you off ( or the person with mobility problems) off at the park. yes there still be a bit of a walk

I have also heard they will store guest walker wheel chair for you when you rent.

Thank you! We do have an HC tag and I can walk to get a wheelchair for my grandmother. She can't walk without the walker so she has to either bring the walker to the ECV rental to transfer or I need to bring a wheelchair to the car. Was just trying to figure out how to do it in advance so we don't get any surprises.

@Buntington Based on another thread, I believe you are specifically asking about Disney Springs rather than the parks. The parks may have courtesy wheelchairs available near the HC parking areas, but those sometimes do not make it back to the parking lot after people use them to get to the park entrance. I believe I've read that Disney Springs also has some courtesy wheelchairs available in the parking garage, but hopefully someone else will confirm. I'm not sure how far a walk from the HC parking to the ECV rental location.

Enjoy your shopping trip!

Yes, we're going to Disney Springs next week but also talking about going to the parks in December sometime to see the xmas decorations. So I want to make sure both are accessible for her. I'm going to call one of the other numbers provided on the other thread to see if I can get an answer before we go. I will share in case anyone has a similar question in the future.

Last year at MK, my ECV was getting a litte low on battery. It was getting close to midnight and MK was opened a couple more hrs. It might have made it but I didnt want to take a chance. I went to the front where they rent ECV and wheelchairs. They kept my ECV until I left later. They do this at other parks also. Not sure about Disney Springs. They will tag your device and give you a kind of receipt to turn back in to retrieve it.

Don't forget the Resort hotels - if you have the time, some of the lobbies are simply breathtaking at the Holidays! :)

Just wanted to update in case anyone else is ever looking for an answer for this issue--we did the the valet parking at Disney Springs (it did cost money) and it was right next to the scooter rental, so we were able to get a courtesy wheelchair to get her from the car to the ECV. It was a great experience and my grandmother feels confident enough now that we are going to try a trip to Epcot and then to MK! I spoke with a CM on the WDW disabilities line and he said that at Epcot they will also bring out a courtesy wheelchair to get you to the ECV rental, and you can get a courtesy wheelchair at the transportation and ticket center that will get you all the way to the ECV rental at MK. Fortunately, we have two able-bodied adult members of our party who can flag down CMs to get the courtesy wheelchairs and push our family members with disabilities to the scooter rentals. :)

I've left my rollator at ECV rental in Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. I didn't rent at Hollywood Studios, so I don't know what they do.

When I left it, they put a tag on it, and when I checked in, they had my walker waiting for me.

Did they say where you have to go to get to the CM who can go get you a wheelchair? From the many times I've been to WDW, and in the parking lot, all I've seen are the CMs who direct parking (who wouldn't be able to stop directing cars to go get a wheelchair) and one stationed at the tram stop at the front of the parking. The other CMs are either on the tram, front and back, or in the ticket booths. There may be security in the area, but I don't think they get wheelchairs.

Don't want to burst your bubble but this is way harder to do than you think and it will take way longer than anyone wants to do. I'm not saying this won't work, but I could see this taking at least an hour.

We park in the handicap parking lot. There are a few, very few wheelchairs to transport you from there to the park. They are sitting there without a CM. More often then not, I have not seen wheelchairs. They are in use by guests who got to the park ahead of you and they haven't been returned for the next group to use.
