We are planning a 19 day trip to Orlando at the end of Sep 2010 we are planning 3 or 4 night trip to Las Vegas in the middle of the trip, we plan a villa for the 1st week then fly to LV and on return maybe a Disney Hotel with free dining,
We would prefer not to take all our luggage with us so what can we do with it.

We are thinking of
A booking a cheap motel and leave it there, and checking in our hire car and then rehiring on return.
Or B keep the car and leave the luggage in the boot in the airport car park. ( take all expensive items)

Any other suggestions ie could we leave it in a locker somewhere.
Would a disney hotel store it?

Also in order to get the free dining if we booked it now and needed to change the dates how easy is it to do and would it cost to do so>

Not sure of your options with storing luggage just wondered if a better option would be not returning to Florida(or ending in Florida)
Book a flight to one, an internal one way then a flight home from the other all in one reservation. We did it that way once and worked out far cheaper than doing a return flight to one place then a return internal.

The reasoning behind the LV trip is that our friends from Australia will be there they are not wanting to go to Orlando so if we want to meet up we need to go to LV
They arrive in La 25th sep then go to LV for 9 nights leaving on the 8th Oct whilst we are having from the 25Th Sep till The 14 Oct we only want 4 nights max in LV as we prefer Orlando, at the moment we are looking at 8 night in a villa the 4 nights in LV finishing with 7 nights at a disney hotel with the free dining.
Also we prefer to fly direct from Manchester and unfortunatly Virgin dont go to LV from there.
So back to the luggage problem as we dont fancy carting 3 weeks luggage for 4 days in LV
Could we store it in a locker at the airport maybe?

Also the flights to Orlando with Virgin are not so cheap any ideas if they are likely to get cheaper?

No Virgin don't go from Manchester, we have done it both ways, Virgin Heathrow direct to LAX and Manchester indirect to LAS. Much prefer indirect from Manchester, the drive back from Heathow is a nightmare(although doing it again in about 10 weeks)

Can't know with flight prices anymore, our dates in August started at £740ish now at £953, never paid more than £533 before, prices have gone mad this year.

Parking the car at the airport and leaving non-valuables like clothes and stuff in the boot seems to be the cheapest/easiest option. Can't really see the point in booking a motel when all you really want to to is park the car somewhere if there is room in the boot of the car for the stuff. Plus, if you left the car at a motel, then you would have to find some other way of getting to and from the airport.
Looks like parking at MCO starts at $10/day

If I have read correctly OP option was not to leave car at motel but to hand back the car and re-hire when returning.
To keep car and park at airport won't be cheap option, depending on size of car 4 days rental sat doing nothing would be about £100 + $40+ parking
A cheap motel room is about £15/day.

Looks like the problem is solved as our son and girlfriend might be coming to Orlando and staying in a Disney Hotel whilst we wre in LV so our stuff can stay with them.
It was a nice suprise when they said that they would like to join us.:lovestruc:)
