Stores near WDW, or enroute to Port

Hi Everyone,

I’ll be needing to pick up some essentials ahead of boarding my cruise. I’ll be staying at AoA for a couple of days ahead of time and will have a rental car.

Can someone please direct me to :

• A ‘dollar’ shop for a bucket and spade, and other bits and pieces (i.e. crap) for my 18 month old to use on Castaway
• A shop that will sell Pampers nappies (diapers). Don’t plan on lugging 2 weeks worth from UK!
• Some beer and wine

This is a helpful page from the mouse for less. The closest of the grocery stores to your resort would be Gooodings, but I wouldn't recommend shopping there as I find the prices to be really high. The super Walmart in Kissimmee is not far and would have everything that you need.

If you have a car there's another super walmart near Dr Phillips hospital which is the exit before the Beach line off I4

You would find both those things in a Publix grocery store or a Target or Walmart. There are also plenty of dollar stores around, usually one in a couple of plazas. You might just drive down Irlo Bronson Hwy and see what you find (other side of the I4 away from Disney. That's Kissimmee. Or take the I4 towards Tampa and get off on the 27. There's a Target, and a Dollar Store at Posner Park shopping centre. I also know there's a Publix at the Celebration exit from the I4 (going towards Tampa) just after the 7Eleven. But there are many others all around.
