Stores Closing

Ome, I know, I know what you mean. There's a Linen and Things where I live, too. And its also closing soon, too. There's also a Mervyn's store closing, too. Gosh, this next year will be so hard for so many people. So many stores/jobs cutting peoples pay and stuff, really scary, if you think about it. Even my Dad has had his work cut pay a month ago, many people from his work lost their jobs. Soon at my Mom's work their going to be making people leave...and their all gonna loose their job, too. Its getting scary, really, really fast. it's really sad, too. All these people will have to find some new job, and they all need to be able to have food and whatever else they need to survive, you know?

I agree with what you said, my dad works for Boeing and is one of there top people in the Union so were not worried hes going to lose his job. But my mom was layed off last June but it had to do with the amount of hours she could work(they wanted someone who could work more than part time) 40 and 50 hours a week in tax season (Shes a CPA) and she only worked 20. But she has just begun to look for a new job and she has already got lots of intrest in her. But its really sad to see alot of my friends parents lose there job. I guess were lucky that my dad has a really solid job and makes alot of money.

I'm glad some Disney Stores are closing though. First they sold them to the Children's Place. (thats when my mom quit.. cause she wanted to be apart of the Disney company lol)

but then they bought them back.. and only are having a selective few open (including the one by us PHEW!) but think about it.. one of the most popular stores is the American Girl Doll place.. because they only have two in the whole country, so I think Disney's smart haha lol finally. jk i love you Disney!

same. they did that at our mall like in 2005. i nearly died.

They closed the Disney Store I worked at in June. It was really sad; I loved everyone I worked with. It also took me 3 months to find a new job (and that's with 3 years of retail experience).

I'm so lucky my new job brings in total bank. The amount people spend on LEGO stuff is pretty ridiculous, but I'm not going to complain...

The closest Disney Store closed way back in the beginning of the year. The Linens and Things was opened about a year ago and is already closing.

I was really depressed, because that's where I go to get my disney fix. There's this one guy who worked there that goes to disney world a lot, and I would go in there and talk to him about disney like the total nerd that I am. xD
