I never thought I would start a women's only thread but I'm really curious about anyone's experience at this store. I made an appointment for a bra fitting at the Intimacy lingerie store in NYC. It was promoted in one of Oprah's shows ( I think bra clinic?) and Carter Kressley also did a thing on it. I had to make an appointment for weeks in advance so I'm hoping it's worth it!

I have been to the Atlanta Intimacy location. They do an excellent job fitting bras, plus they sell sizes that you wouldn't be able to find at a regular department store. Do be prepared that they are very expensive though--they carry high-end lingerie brands.

Thanks for the info! My appointment is not till 12/20 so I will give a report then. How expensive will it be? I believe in getting what you pay for but I don't want to be broke haha!

I also have been to the one in Atlanta. I got 4 bras. My total was near 500$. and I didn't get the most expensive ones in the store either. I do like the bras but they are expensive! Be prepared....someone will be assigned to you and will go in the fitting room with you to watch how you take off and put on your bra. They will show you the proper ways to do each. So if you are the shy type just be prepared. And unless you want about a million emails from them don't give your email address. I get them all the time!! would I go back? Probably not.

Someday I REALLY want to go! I imagine they will not force you to buy anything, so maybe go enjoy and splurge on a bra or two! PLease let us know how it went!

I've been a couple of times to the one in Atlanta. I have to say, that the bras purchased are the best ones I've ever had. My basic t-shirt bra was $89. I had a heart attack the first time, but honestly it's been worth it!

My friend went to the one in NYC, and she was very satisfied. She did pay about $100 a bra though. She had been wearing the wrong size for several years, and now she wears the right size.

I recently read an article on the couple that own the company. They must be doing really well, I think they are opening something like 10 stores! That's double what they have IIRC.

I'd like to try them!

I am a super modest person, and I ahve an appointment this afternoon, I am terrified. But I need the help. lol. I am also terrified of the price, I can not spend anywhere close to 500 bucks, so I may end up with just one bra, maybe two.

I've been to the Atlanta one a couple of times.
Don't go if you're at all shy, or if you're on a budget !
They are expensive, but worth every penny !
You don't realize how a bra is supposed to fit until you have a real bra fitting! It makes a huge diffence !

Ok, just got back. I agree, do not go if you are shy!!! I am, and they literally come in the dressing room and have you go topless. lol. It was awful! But the bras I came home with are TOTALLY worth it! ANd my salesgirl was very nice.

My salesperson was very nice, but if I bought what she said I "needed" it would ahve cost 700 dollars! EEK! I ended up spending 200 for 2 bras, and I came home and looked them all up online, the store did not overcharge. I found one that was 116 at the store for 110 online, so it was not like the marked up the prices. I don't think I can afford for this to be a regular thing, but it is one thing every girl needs to do at least once!

PS they also have swimwear so if you have a difficult time finding a size that fits your body & your "girls" this may be a great place!

Sorry I didn't give an update. There was a snowstorm the weekend I had my appointment so I ended up canceling.
