Hi!

I have a question that might be dumb...

Is refrigerated cookie dough safe to eat after the "best by" date? I forgot (again) to freeze some pillsbury cookie dough the last time I bought it. The last time I did this, I just threw it away, but does it really go bad? I probably wouldn't bake it if it was homemade, but doesn't that premade stuff have a lot of preservatives in it?

Just curious...it's a couple months old now and I probably should just throw it away...

thanks!

I would think if you had kept it refrigerated, it'd be ok but if it's "a couple months old" I wouldn't take the chance. Just a few days or a week, maybe but not a month or more.
I amazed that you had cookie dough around the house that lasted that long! It's gone w/in a week I buy it!! :rotfl2:

LOL! I know, can you believe it???

I bought it b/c it was on sale...I don't usually buy cookie dough b/c I much prefer homemade. Maybe I'll make cookies tonight and dump that dough...

thanks! :)
