Storage space in rooms

Hello all!
Me, the hubby, and our DD will be headed to the AoA LM rooms for a full week (7days/6nights) at the end August. Considering the amount of clothes we may bring and the limit draw space, what are some tips/tricks to efficiently using the space in the room?

I know these rooms are small and we are use to CBR's more spacious rooms but the theming could not be passed up (and the construction/remodel of the CBR looks overwhelming).

We tend to pack on the low to average side, so it's not like I'll have a full wardrobe but 3 draws can get tight when you've got 3 people and so many days.

Thanks!

We rarely put things in the drawers. I have those vacuum travel bags, and pack half my outfits in one, half in the other. We pretty much leave our clothing in the bags we packed.

This is us, too. I use packing cubes - I have Eagle Creek ones from Amazon. I like the small size as well as the "shirt" size - I think it is medium. Pretty much everything goes in a packing cube. These are like little organized "drawers" in my suitcase and I leave them in all week, putting the laundry elsewhere so always have clean clothes in the cubes. They offer a bit of compression when packing.

We bring an extra bag just to dump the dirty laundry in - although we have to be careful if anything is damp or sweaty, as the bags tend to help the clothes get moldy, yuck! I try to hang up the gross stuff until it is dry, then put it in the bag. If we have a lot of yucky stuff, I break down and do laundry.

I find the big blue plastic IKEA bags work really well for laundry in the room. They pack flat and they make good totes for going to and from the laundry room.

That's a brilliant idea - we have a ton of them, as I never remember to bring them with me to the store and so i buy a new one each trip. Thanks for the idea!!

LOL I can't take credit...I was going to get some of those pop up hampers I've seen recommended and pack those (flying Southwest so plenty of free bags) but my daughter suggested bringing IKEA bags since we all have multiple ones on hand. Works great...cheap! (though not $.59 like they used to be!)...and they don't take up space.

Pop up hamper from dollar tree for dirty clothes.

Hanging six shelf organizer that hangs from the closet rod as "drawers". $5 from five below.

The drawers gross me out...

We leave our clothes in the luggage and hang whatever is necessary in the closet area. We often ask housekeeping for an extra luggage rack. For dirty clothes we bring a large laundry duffle bag and hang it on the closet rod.
We are not a drawer-using family.

We use our smaller luggage pieces as drawer, putting them in the empty spaces of the TV furniture.

I've never stayed in an AoA room so I took a look at the pictures (LM room is cute!:)) and tried to imagine how I'd use it for a week's stay.

3 guests and a 6 drawer chest= 2 drawers per occupant. I'd put undergarments, socks and sleep wear in one drawer per occupant and use the other 3 for everyone's T and polo shirts. All pants, skirts and dresses would be hung in the closet. Need more hangers? Housekeeping will gladly give them to you.

A behind the door hanging toiletry bag would be useful. I mean one that looks like this:

You can also find an all vinyl see thru version at Target's and prolly Walmart's.
I'd store my scarves and costume jewelry in the safe since I'd no other use for the space.

Footwear is a bit tricky since most hotel rooms now haven't space under the bed. I store the shoes along the hidden side of the box spring box w/ the exception of slippers/flip flops which go to the front long side and make it easy to slip your feet right in when you get out of bed.

I'd stack the luggage on the rack and move it into the vanity area instead of leaving the rack near the sink.

This is the system I used whilst staying 4 to a Disney Poly room for 5 nights. It was 2 adults and 2 children.
Nothing was left behind and I never walked back or out of the room wondering exactly what circle of Dante's Inferno I'd wandered into.

I used a valet/laundry bag from a different hotel (different colour) to store dirty stuff and washed much of the small items by hand in the sink......err I do the same at home so this isn't unusual for me, LOL. Wring dry with a hand towel and they tend to be dry the next morning. Tide/Gain pods w/ dry bleach travel nicely whether you're camping (I do a lot of that) or staying in a hotel.
