Storage Question

Ok - we are flying down for 7 nights at WDW before our 4 night cruise. I will have a rental car for WDW but plan on returning it prior to boarding. Both of my kids will have booster seats. My question is - does anyone know if there are lockers at the port or storage anywhere for the 2 booster seats? I really don't want to lug them on the ship and move around them in the stateroom and hate the thought of renting them from the car company - it would be an extra $14/day which seems way too much...

Thanks!

If you take them onto the ship, your room steward can put them away for you--you'll get them back on the last night. Yes, you would have to take them on, but they wouldn't be around your stateroom that way. On the last night, you just tag them as luggage, and see them next in Customs.

This sound good in theory....but depending on the stateroom host this may not be possible....I remember a few threads about people wanting to store things like booster seats, car seats, luggage, etc. and were told no. So just take it as it comes and if they can do it great.......but it is not guaranteed.

we've never had a problem with stateroom attendant finding storage for our luggage.

the one thing i would mention is that you're going to have to deal with them as luggage for the flight anyway (booster seats can't be used on airplanes)-so it may be less hassle to just buy a couple on sale. that way they will already be boxed for the flight down, you can rebox for the cruise and the return flight home.

When we arrived at the port, we just tagged DS's Car Seat to be delivered to our room. We then just stored it out of the way on the Verandah (we had purchased a car-seat carring bag that kept it protected from the sea air and the baggage handling).

But think about it.....if everyone (even just 50%) decided they needed to have their luggage placed in storage...that would be hundreds of pieces of luggage. There is not unlimited space onboard.

We didn't have problems with booster/car seats on the plane. If they're FAA approved you should be able to use them. In some ways it's nice, DD & DS could sit higher and see out the window :Pinkbounc :bounce: (they have to be next to the window and not in an exit row).
