Hi there... I'm luckily going to be in the Orange County area for work at the end of April, and decided to do a red eye back east in order to do one full long day at DL. My question though, is...

My flight isn't until 7pm on Monday night, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with my luggage. I'll be checking out of my hotel that morning, so I'll be stuck with it. Just how big are the lockers outside of DL? Big enough for a standard carry-on size of suitcase? Or would I have better luck stashing stuff at SNA?

Thanks for any help you may have...

The lockers aren't big enough for that. We just asked our hotel (this last time the Carousel) to hold our bags for us until we left for our flights. Most hotels will do this.

I don't know if this will work, but what if you brought your luggage to one of the disney hotels and asked them if they could hold your luggage for you. Since you are not a guest at the hotel they may say no, but if you speak to a hotel manager and say that you are willing to pay a fee for them to hold it while you pay for a park day ticket to go into DL, then maybe they will make an exception.

I doubt this will work and I'm sure it will definetly not work at a hotel off disney property as a non-guest.

I think I'll try that... I may call today and at least figure out my options. I'll plead my case with some "OH PLEASE HELP MEs" thrown in there for good measure. :thumbsup2

Thanks.

How are you getting to DL from your hotel and how are you getting to the airport? If you can't find anything else that will work for your luggage storage, I suppose you could look into renting a car for the day. More expensive than a transfer to the airport for 1 person but it could solve your luggage problem. :confused3

Not a bad idea!!
I would call the different disney hotels and also quote out how much it would cost to rent a car and taking shuttle/taxi etc to airport. Keep in mind parking fee also at the park

AHHHHHHHHH.

You are SO SMART.

My colleague is renting the car and flying back Monday morning HOWEVER... I am going to get him to extend the rental until 5:45 that night instead of turning it back in that morning.

Seriously, I love the dis.

Has anyone rented a locker? Checked the link and it says price depends on size of locker. Does anyone know how much the lockers cost that would fit a packpack.

My wife can correct me, but I believe we do the mid size locker which is I believe is ten dollars. That's big enough for a backpack and other stuff like a hoodie jacket and some extra water bottles.

Thank you! We are staying a little further from park this time so may need to bring a few items :0)

The onsite resorts won't let you leave your bag there if you aren't going to be a guest.

But I have used the Jumbo sized locker in the picnic area before you get to bag check (on the Downtown Disney side) and they were MORE than adequate for a carryon sized bag. I mean, way bigger than I needed.

Sounds like you'll be parking and leaving luggage in the car, but in case that changes, just have your ride drop you off at DLH* (might be different for a private vehicle but I had taken a cab from the train station coming from San Diego) and walk through DTD. If you're dropped on the Harbor side, you have to go through bag check then walk through the other side of bag check, and THEN find the big lockers.

*I suppose you could be dropped at the other resorts, too...I just chose DLH because it seemed easiest. And because the Disneyland Resort Express bus was how I was getting to the airport, and DLH is where I was being picked up from. I was really hoping they'd let me stash my bag with them, but nope!
