Under Bed Storage?

Are you able to use the under-the-bed storage units? Do you need bed risers in order to work? What length storage units fit?

Has anyone used the plastic three draw dressers for extra storage? You can get them from Target and they are made by RE. They measure 25 5/8H x 21 7/8W x 15 1/4D.

Also, do the washers work with the All liquid packets??

Thanks for all your help. Trying to figure out what to pack for Disney, while trying to unpack from college!

I can't give exact dimensions, but on my first day my parents bought me two under-he-bed storage bins (those long-ish flat rectangular ones, I have no idea their dimensions--sorry!) and they both fit easily without any bed risers. You could see them pretty easily under my bed, but I never had any problems with them during inspections. (On my program one of my roommates said you couldn't store food in them :confused3 so I wouldn't recommend that.) I still have mine and will be bringing them back down again. They were great! There was probably enough room for 3 of them under there, but I only had 2 and kept my shoes under the bed instead. I used my bins for things like random books and paperwork and other odds and ends that I collected throughout my program but didn't use every day.

One of my roommates used the storage drawer units in her bedroom to keep stuff in. You probably won't need to bring enough stuff with you so that you'd need both that unit and the under-the-bed containers, though. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure what you mean by liquid packets, though. The washers do work with liquid, but if you mean those new Pods things they have, probably not. At least the ones at Vista (I never went into a laundry facility at Chatham or Patterson, but I'd imagine them to be the same) were the kind where you pour the detergent in at the top of the machine in a little compartment thing.

Sorry I can't give the exact dimensions for the bed (It's been 3 years), but hopefully everything else helps to answer your questions! :goodvibes

Just wanted to add that you can use the pod type detergent. You just throw it in with the clothing before you start it and ignore the detergent compartment on top. :thumbsup2

That's really useful to know! Thanks! I'd imagine they would be way easier than lugging the bottles of detergent with me everywhere I went. Thanks for correcting me. :goodvibes
