As mentioned on my other thread, we are driving from Perrysburg OH with my hubby's daughter and her family through the night. We would like to stop for an afternoon stop somewhere along the I-75 so our grandsons (4 & 6) can run off some steam and get a rest from sitting in the car. We will then continue on to Orlando after their run about.
Has anyone ever stopped for a day stop in or around Macon GA? Just wondering if anyone might know of a day-rate hotel or a public park where our grandkids might run off some steam while we grab some sleep (their mom and dad will be watching them of course - we will just need a rest from driving)....
It seems to me that on trips past (years ago) when my girls were little, we could stop at a hotel and use the pool and a room during the afternoon and get a day-rate (usually about $30.00 off the regular room rate). Am I off my rocker here or does this still happen?
