Stop the healthy crazy buns already!

I don't have a problem with the buns.

Not a huge hot dog fan so I only order burgers... but the grease seems to keep the dry healthy buns together just fine. ;)

If you have an allergy can they give white buns? I'm really allergic to multigrain anything, I carry an epipen for that. I'm thinking it's going to be a bread free week which is hard since I make my own bread. I'm sure I can live on ribs instead of a burger;)

Since the changeover whenever we ordered a burger or hot dog, it did seem like the current buns really would fall apart usually..and the old ones didn't. I can't believe they're still being served, it was such a difference. Wheat buns that don't crumble would be great!

For allergies some locations offer a gluten free tapioca bun by enerG if you want to google ingredients. Other than that out of luck except for a few places that have specialty breads mostly resort quick services. The "un"healthy buns have a number of common allergens too particularly soy.

I love whole wheat anything including hot day and hamburger buns, we don't even buy white bread at home. But people, please stop the confusion. These aren't whole wheat. They are cardboard. It has nothing to do with being healthy or not healthy, they are dry nasty saw dust and no one should have to eat them. If they want to serve whole wheat, then do it. DON'T SERVE CARDBOARD THAT HAS TURNED INTO SAW DUST. Rant over.

We were on the QSDP back in december so we ate those buns probably at least once a day for 5 days and none of us had any problems with them.
They didnt fall apart, they weren't dry, etc. They were perfectly fine.

My dad and I also ate at Caseys and enjoyed the hot dogs as well.

Personally, I dont see what the problem is.

If ever you want to duplicate the Disney crumbly buns at home, all you have to do is go to Sav-A-Lot and buy their house brand of wheat buns, preferably a day or two before serving. Of course, for Disney prices I'd like something a little better than bargain-basement, 79 cents a package buns...

:lmao: I'll have to remember that next time I'm looking for a true Disney dining experience at home!! :rotfl2:

Perhaps yes; perhaps no. Specifically, everyone being able to get what they want invariably raises costs. Should the 90% of patrons order the same 15% of menu items pay so much more because the costs of the eatery are substantially driven-up by the fact that it carries the other 85% of the choices to serve just 10% of the patrons? Clearly, that would be unfair. By the same token, charging $5 for a hot dog and $9 for a soy dog would make Disney look bad for so grossly "punishing" vegetarians. These kinds of considerations reasonably drive decisions to limit what any one eatery offers.

I think GeorgeG was very gracefully trying to agree with you.... :rolleyes1

There is no reason to believe that the rolls are multigrain. That are probably made from whole wheat flour, the only difference, therefore between them and the white rolls is wheat bran, which is inert.

I think you misunderstood his point, and mine. He was saying how it would be really good if everyone could get what they personally want. My reply agreed with that, providing a concrete and personal example, but also outlined how broad "what everyone wants" could be, highlighting just how expensive that would be, as a result.
