Seriously, how many threads do we need dedicated to WAH WAH THIS PERSON IN PIRATES CALLED ME A BAD PLAYER! AND SAID I STINK! So what!! ITS THE INTERNET!

Honestly, it is as simple and just ignoring it, grow up! Someone said something mean to you, this person is someone you dont know, never will know, and do you really care to know?

And another thing, stop complaining about people CHEATING in pirates, there is no way you can cheat in that game, so someone sits on top of a flag, thats why you have cannons! Shoot them! Everyone, it is as simple as this, all your mommys should have taught you this a long time ago, but here it is, I know this is going to be a major MAJOR shock to you all, but here it is...

It may be a game, but it doesn't give anyone the right to make fun of other players.

The only posts I see are the ones complaining about those immature brats
who are name-calling and telling others that they are cheating....making
the Pirates game unpleasant for ALL OF US to play.

It's up to the moderators to determine if there are too many posts, and
we all have to let them handle merging and deleting what they find excessive.

If you have any issues with posts, do what all DIS members may do:

Report the post to the moderators. The "yield" triangle button is there for
that purpose. Adding a new post to complain about other posts makes
their job more difficult.

Just because this is the internet does not mean we must settle for rudeness and unacceptable behavior. Sure, there are many places you can find online where this is common, however, those types of sites are not a place many of us choose to frequent.

I would like to remind everyone of a few very important DIS Guidelines that are here to make sure this is a place where you don't just have to "ignore" this type of behavior:

3. NO FIGHTING: Several Internet news groups are marred by the actions of a few selfish people who turn an otherwise positive forum into a soap box for their anger issues. Internet newsgroups are not moderated, and therefore, anything goes. These boards are moderated in an effort to keep the discussions appropriate to the topic at hand. Those who feel they can not abide by these rules are welcome to read the posts on the board, and respond via email to the person who posted the message. Messages that are argumentative or sarcastic in nature will be deleted without discussion.

We do not believe in censorship, and open discussions about various issues is encouraged. We ask that everyone conduct himself or herself with respect when speaking to other people. It is okay to disagree, as long as the discussion remains respectful of the feelings of others. Once a discussion begins to step over that line, the post in question will be deleted. In extreme cases, individuals who are not able to conduct themselves as responsible group members will be asked not to return.

Instead of advising our members to "grow up", I would suggest simply skipping over this type of thread in the future.
