I think it is wonderful we as adults are even allowed to use VMK.

So does Disney. Who do you think is spending all the money on Pirate pin sets, vacations that used to come with stitch hats, and buying DVDs by the dozens for the codes?

It is very clear that while vmk was initially designed for a target audience 8-14 year olds, Disney realized this marketing tool was a great way to get the dollars from adults who love Disney. It's not a kids game, it's a game that's safe for kids.

I disagree somewhat, I have a 6 year old who plays VMK she is kind of young but I do not think it out of norm for children in the 8-14 year old age range to play house. In fact I would say it is more normal to play house. One thing I notice is that children are growing up a lot faster, My 6 year old is getting great at the ghost game,already, however she thinks its the funniest thing to get caught and turn into the other color.. EEK..

I would just say your not interested, but I definitely don't mind being asked, they are kids, and this game is for them not us. I think it is wonderful we as adults are even allowed to use VMK.

What kids value is not what adults value. Thats for sure.

I completely agree. I think that it all evens out once they pay the staff and factor in all of the costs. They might even make some money. But, I think the idea was more to have a safe environment for Disney loving younger kids around 8-10.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record here goes again....

Everyone has their own reason for playing vmk, young, old and in between. Think about it this way. Some of the younger members cant compete with peeps in the mini games, so......they do cute or boot. Some dont have rare to trade so......they walk around vmk as some animal. Others dont have credits to make rooms so.....they play house OR do taken. So what. No one is asking anyone to join them or watch.

Playing house or being taken is not against values. Vmk is for all ages. Its not just for little kids, thank God because I bet if you looked at the percentage of who plays its somewhere at the 20-45 yr old bracket.

What strikes me funny here tho is that we have all seen married peeps playing with other married peeps. Yet no one questions that do they? And I think we know what Im talking about here.

Ppl just play your game. Stop reporting over every little thing cos trust me one time it may get you banned. Let the kids play house or be a dog, who cares.

Well said, when I was just starting VMK I stunk at the mini games (still do lol) and played house untill I joined the Dis.

Playing house doesn't bother me until it gets into adult themes. Then it bothers me.

What really bothers me is the taken thing. Especially when I see a little girl standing in the room saying, "need a boyfriend" or "is anyone not taken?". They don't care who it is as long as they can say they have a boyfriend for the time being.

To me that's tantamount to going out on the local street corner and yelling out I need a boyfriend.
Doing that can get you called some pretty ugly things in most of America.

Like other say, there are a lot of 8-14 year olds on vmk. Some of them sort of need a "script" to use when playing...they know "playing house" so they use that as a basis for their play. Some use "boyfriend/girlfriend" as a script. Some use "goth/vampire" or some such thing.

I just ignore other players I am not interested in.

Baby is not a bad word. Why not say it? Anyone who wanted to would simply say, "Bay be" anyway.

I guess I just don't get the whole "baby" issue. Kids play. Kids make-believe. Do I understand why a child who is old enough to type would care to pretend to be a baby? Nope. But there are many that probably don't understand why I did certai things either

the baby and taken things are annoying. Some of the rooms i see at the top of the guest room lists are rooms such as "boys and girls dance" and "little toes bay be day care" It kinds of ticks me off.

At the risk of sounding lame, I played "house" with my friends probably until I was age 12, LOL!! I guess I was a late bloomer. I personally don't see anything wrong with it on VMK, as long as it's truly kids that are playing it and as long as they don't delve into "adult" issues. I think playing house is all part of growing up. Unfortunately in this day and age, kids grow up all too fast.

Simply put, if the kids playing house bother you, don't go to those rooms! You DO have a choice on VMK...

I think this is getting out of hand ( no offense Goofy ) my opinion is that if people want to play house or do taken let them what I have been noticing is people are now starting to point fingers on people who do these things and it's turn vmk against each other. We Are Not Bounty Hunters For People Who Do These Things!!!! so stop reporting this in Goofy's case I understand the reason of ther report but I would have handled it differently. I would have told the kid " Sorry but I don't do baby " only to the point if he kept on going at it then yes I would have reported. Some of the younger ones on vmk ranging 5-8 are meeting other kids like themselves who are interested in playing house and stuff like that because it's a safe way to do it lets face it we are all now in a world where everyone at anytime can connect in some way via internet little kids don't think of vmk as a race to buy and or trade for rare items they play for the fun of being around other people. Another thing if a 14 year old boy wants to play house so what he isn't an alien leave him alone maybe he sees things diffently your going to judge him on what he does that's not right in any manner. Am not going to put my age but I am in my teens I never felt the need to do taken or play house but if some people do I don't care if they come up to me I will say sorry but I don't do that and if they ask me again I will just leave the room. That is my opinion on this whole thing I think I just said it all
