Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Well, I look forward to the rest of your trip report and to see how your kids do....

Well, before my wife and I were married, we were on a trip to Maine, and staying at a hotel in York Beach. It was a place we stayed a lot, but the first time in that room. It was a room with 2 beds, and the 2 beds were seperated by a wall that was maybe half the room. Our bed was the farthest from the door, and next to a window.

We were both asleep, soundly, and (this is what I felt) I suddenly felt a presence standing over me, like a person, large maybe, very stongly. I usually am jumpy when sleeping and somebody comes into a room with me or near me. Well, I literally jumped out of bed, down to the floor on my knees looking for the person that I was sure was in the room with us.

:scared1:

At exactly the same time, my wife says she felt the same kind of presence! She also woke up, though only sat up and and looked around, though she was jumpy.

:confused3

There wasn't anyone in the room but us! No sounds, no person, no nothing!!! Nothing was moved, no smells, no sounds, just an overwhelming presence standing over us both!

We both had that feeling of someone in the room with us. To this day, I can still feel it, even though we didn't see anything and this experience was over 10 years ago. It was and has been the only time we have ever had such an experience.

We asked around (not to obviously, didn't want to seem crazy ;)) but there were no ghost rumors for that hotel. I have searched online a few times as well, but to avail.

I have a feeling it will be with me for the rest of my life. I have been to a few Civil War battle sights and several haunted walks and other haunted places, and never felt the same feelings or presence. I wish I could explain it better and impress how strong this feeling was. I literally jumped out of bed, straight to the floor!

Thanks for letting me add my little ghost story, Lisa. Enjoying the TR muchly. Thanks for sharing!
:thumbsup2

Ooooooh! I like that story. Well, not like that it happened to you but you know what I mean. I once woke up from a sound sleep to see a little girl standing at the foot of my bed. I, literally, shook my head and wiped my eyes to make sure she was there. She was still there just looking at me. Then, she turned around and walked off. Just faded away!

Now that is pretty cool. I don't know if I believe or not in ghosts. I've never had a real encounter personally. I am very sensitive to what is around me tho so I understand how one would feel.

Ginny

It was interesting. We never stayed in that room again, so we didn't get a chance to try again (not that I want to feel it again...)

I don't know if I believe in ghosts either, but, as both my wife and I had exactly the same feeling and experience, there was something....

I used to wonder if there were ghosts or spirits or if it was just all tricks of the mind. But, after having had several things happen to me and to members of my family, I think I believe.

Me thinks that would have completely done me in!!!
:scared1::eek::scared1::eek::scared1::eek:

Tell us when you get her entered. I sooooo want to vote for her!

I don't know what happened up there except for what they told me. I think it's pretty creepy.

It doesn't really bother me too much. The only time it does is when the smoke smell gets to me.

I would never ever never ever encourage my children to misbehave. I just buy them things like fart machines and fart whistles.:lmao:

Oh and there was that time that I bought them a whoopie cushion and fake maggots.:rolleyes1

And here I thought you were the quiet reserved one. When really it's John and you just egg him on. Yep, I got your number now missy.

That is pretty freaky alright. That beats my dreams of killing off my dad when I was pregnant.

Excuse me! But, I don't think I have ever claimed to be the quiet reserved one. We don't have those in my family.;) I think that I rebel when I leave the office. I have to look and act a certain way when I am here so once I get home, I shuck it all and can act myself. I know when and where I have to act reserved and it ain't at home!:lmao:

Now, John, he's a real troublemaker and he's sneaky about it. A lot of times, the only way I can tell whether or not he's fibbing is by looking at the corner of his eyes. If they are all crinkled up, he's pulling a fast one on me.

Seriously though......we are all a bunch of jokers.

You know were just giving you a hard time because 'ye who give it get it'. I can think of none finer than to give it too. I have seen that crinkle in his eye in a few of those pix. I would feel sorry for your children but this is so the best way to live. None of that stuffy stuff for us. No sir.

Of course I know you were just giving me a hard time. And, I was giving it back! Oh yeah, the crinkle is in several pictures. My kids don't know it any other way. Well, Lacey does remember back in the day when John was having seizures every other day. She was just 5 then and knew how to dial 911 because she'd done it many times. Those days SUCKED! Thank God for John's neurologist and the pharmaceutical companies because those bad days seem to be behind us.

I don't ever want to be stuffy for sure!

I am old you know. I so live that life.

I am so thankful John is better. I've seen it in action and it is awful. We had a patient do it in the office one day. I can dial 911 with the best of them. It is so not fun for the person or anyone else around. One night at a football game a lady was having one. I was the only one around who knew what to do. Couldn't believe it. I should have my nursing degree instead of the jackofalltrades, knowitall degree.

Okay guys and gals, I've got to get busy and clean off the desk. I think I'm going to sneak out a little early today.

I'm taking my Mama to a Taste of Home cooking school tonight. The doors opened at 4:00 p.m. and it starts at 6:00 p.m. I meant to come to work in a nicer shirt and shoes but instead wore a Splash Mountain t-shirt and tennis shoes. So, I'll run home and change before we leave. My sister works at the convention center where it takes place and she was going to try to save us a couple of seats. It's first come, first serve which I am not too fond of.

Ya'll have a good evening if I don't come back 'til tomorrow.

Love ya! Lisa

Sounds like fun. Have a great time with Mama, Lisa.
