My dh, myself, and our two little ones (ages 7 & 5) are taking a two - three week camping trip in June. I visited Stone Mountain, Georgia when I was a kid and thought it might be fun to take the kids there. I would like some thoughts on camping at Stone Mountain and some advice about things to do while there. We saw the adventure park that is nearby, but from what I read, it sounds like that is a days visit - at best. Thanks for any help!!

The ONLY drawback is that it doesn't have sewer hook-up but the bath houses are really nice. Also, they have great lake fishing either on the many docks or you can rent boats at the campground or at a nearby marina. The trout fishing is pretty good too! Lake Burton is the most beautiful lake in the world but there is no beach for swimming. It would be about 100 miles north of Stone Mtn though so I don't know if that would be of interest to you.
