Which word do you use to mean "put your foot down heavily"?
 
:confused3 Now that I think about it, I use them pretty much interchangeably.
 

Stamp is for one foot: "Don't stamp your foot at me!"

Stomp is for two feet: "Don't stomp down that hallway!"

Hmmm...I see "stomp" is winning. I use stomp too. There is a new video on the Disney Channel by that slightly weird Ralph guy in which he sings about "stamp your feet" and it just sounds wrong to me. I get a mental image of someone sticking postage all over their feet.
 
depends - does your foot remain in contact with the floor (stomp) or does it come back up off the floor (stamp) ...in tap anyway!!!!;)

I use stomp!
 
Stomp I have never heard stamp used in that sense.
