I’ve never been so sick in my life. Totally out of the blue I developed the stomach flu at 1am Friday morning. Any tips? So far Gatorade is the only appealing thing I can handle
Hydration, chicken broth is like IV fluid. Fever , swelling , painful tender areas, or longer than 24 hours require a doctor .
Add fresh ginger to the chicken broth, heat them up together and drink.Uncrystallized candied Ginger - can give it a shot.
Feel better!
Cola syrup was a home remedy for tummy issues around the turn of the century. Or you could go buy from the new fangled soda fountains.Noro is ripping through like Godzilla from what I've heard. Hope you feel comfortable soon.
An old home remedy my daughters' pediatrician recommended when they were going through bouts of nausea was room temperature cola or ginger ale, stirred to flatten the carbonation and taken by small spoonful once every 15 to 20 minutes. Oddly she recommended cola as first option. We did have good luck with it a couple times, but I don't believe we've ever had noro to test how good it can stand up against that.
Ironically I generally don't drink soda because it often makes my stomach uncomfortable, but I will resort to a cola if I'm struggling with a migraine. It's actually been more effective than meds for me in my lifelong battle with them.Cola syrup was a home remedy for tummy issues around the turn of the century.
