stollers? rent or bring your own?

We are leaving for WDW in two weeks and two day! It will be me, DH, DS, my sister and her two girls the youngest is 5 and we are thinking about doing a stroller for her. We are staying at Disney (at Pop Century). Should we buy a small fold up type stroller for her or just rent them at the parks? Do you think at five it's a good idea to have a stroller for her?

Lastily, has anyone had any problems with people stealing strollers or things left on the stroller (such as a backpack with water and sunscreen) while on a ride?

It depends how long you're staying but I think an umbrella stroller is much more convenient. Believe me you'll be glad you brought a stroller for the five year old. It's too much walking for them and you don't want them to kid cranky and whining about their feet hurting and being tired. I think a stroller is a lifesaver.

We will be there for five days. I think bringing one of those small fold up strollers is the best idea too, thanks!

I agree I agree....

This year's trip our youngest will be 5 and we will probably still bring the umbrella stroller with the basket underneath.

We have had no problems with people swiping things in the stroller....usually a cast member is standing by the areas for the most part.

Even our 7 year old liked somewhere to sit when he was pooped out...but I'm not pushing!

When we went a couple of years ago we used a double stroller that we brought. This year we are bringing two umbrella strollers. The double stroller was so bulky especially on disney transportation. The umbrella strollers fold up so nicely and are much lighter. I have always left a backpack with my stroller with the same type of contents and no one has touched it! Hope this helps.
