Stolen pushchairs

Hi all!

I was wondering if any of you had heard of pushchairs going 'missing' at DLP? We are planning on taking our lovely comfy pushchair and am just checking that no one has heard of pushchair nappers!

When DD was little we have taken both Maclaren stroller and Gracco system pram. I'd taken a bike padlock as we had some concerns. It was to much bother locking it and unlocking it so we stopped after day one. The only time it was moved was by CM's clearing a lot of strollers as they were obstructing the queues.

I know the hired ones from the park go missing from outside rides but have never heard of any others going missing

we were forever getting our hired one stolen as its apparently a free for all on them but we didn`t hear or see any problems with people bringing their own in ,someone suggested leaving a nappy sack with soggy nappy in tied to the handle to deter hired pushchairs from wandering off!!

Our rental stroller was stolen three times before lunch.

Yes often people pick up the first one to hand. You get a free replacement back at the stroller rental by showing your receipt

We took our own pushchair (an expensive 3 wheeled one) and I was quite concerned about it going missing, but we left it with all the other pushchairs in the buggy park by each ride and it was never touched apart from occasionally, as others said, by a CM moving them along to make room for others.

That's really good news. I'll definitely bring our comfy pushchair.

I'd also advise tying a colourful ribbon or scarf to the handle so it is easy to find after rides/shows if CM's have moved it.

we have taken our mcclaren, laden with all sorts of things for our little duaghter twice and had no problems whatsoever.
