Okay I know in the grand scheme of things this is minor but boy am I mad. I drop off my kids at camp and go to the local outlet mall - come out looking for my topper and it is gone. I know it didn't fall off because all the kids said they saw it. Can you believe it? My friends got it for me on DCL - it was a goofy with pirate attire so it wasn't the normal mickey head (not that I don't love that too). I am torn between saying they will have 7 years of bad luck and maybe they needed a little Disney Magic. ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

It truly is dis-heartening when things like that happen.

I remember when those ribbon magnets for cars first came out to support the troops during the Gulf War. Within 2 days someone had pulled it off my husbands truck while it was parked right in front of our house. :sad2:

You're right, in the grand scheme of things - it's insignificant and unimportant

BUT, in the REAL grand scheme of things it points to a direct lack of respect for others - and that is neither insignificant nor unimportant

Someone stole my Nemo antenna topper a couple years back. And my Stitch one, too.

Only solid color proper Mickey heads go on now.

For the record- I don't know what is wrong with people that they think it's ok to steal. :confused3 I'm sorry that happened to you and you do have the right to be upset because it was something that belonged to you and made you day a tiny bit brighter.

I agree that it is just an antennae topper and not something to get yourself all worked up over.

But when my Halloween one disappeared, I was bummed. I truly hope that whoever took it did it because they (or someone close to them) adores WDW and they just didn't have the money for it...and that it brings them a great deal of joy...enough that it cancels out my bummer. That's how I deal with it. I tell myself that my loss brought someone less fortunate great joy.

Now if I really like one, I buy two. A replacement if the first is stolen...or to be used later, when the first gets too grungy.

But, again, this is not one of life's bigger problems, that's for sure. (But it sucks.)

I have heard of that happening before. I've never had it happen to me, but car magnets/ribbons have been taken before. It's usually some kid who has nothing better to do.

Every topper that has ever been on my car (4 in total) are stolen in less than a week. So obviously we no longer put them on our cars.

I bought 6 as souvenirs for friends a few years ago - they were stolen from all of them within a matter of days. It is a bummer... :(

i would lock up the family jewels if i were you guys.............i have never had one stolen...........the automated car wash............now thats another story.:rotfl2:

I knew you guys would understand! Have done that carwash thing :lmao: - They usually can give them back, however.

I feel your pain on this. They not only stole my topper they took the whole atenna since the topper would not come off.

Sorry this happened to you, it really stinks...

If you want to keep an antenna topper get a Mike Wazowski. I want someone to take it or have it fall off ... but it's still there! ;)

LOL.

Thanks for everyone's sympathy.

someone ripped the ears off my shiny gold glittery 5oth anniversary mickey topper. My husband replaced them with pennies but it's not the same. boo to them!
I totally get what your saying OP. It's not the end of the world but it stinks.

"two there always is, no less, no more.........the master and the apprentice".......:)..........i always buy two of each just in case.

I am sorry wow I didn't realize the extent of the antenna topper thefts. I have a Honda so my antenna is in my windshield no antenna pole. I have smaller versions of the toppers hanging from my rear view mirror. Currently I have a mini pirate ball my friend purchased for me on her DC & another solid black mickey ball w/WDW logo on it. :thumbsup2

Wow I did not realize that the theft of these things was so rampant.
I got my first AT last december when at WDW.
I had a grumpy one up until today, yes sadly I have become a victim and now I think I am just going to have a good cry.:sad1:
