I noticed on the thread "How much $$$$ for Christmas" a lot of people stated that stocking stuffers can easily amount to $100 or more. I was curious what kind of stocking stuffers do you get?
I put candy, fruit and maybe one or two small things in for stuffers. Like lip balm, barrettes, lip gloss, matchbox cars, Disney pins. Things like that.

We're really lucky because DD gets excited over the simplest things, like a roll of tape. Her stocking gifts will be under $20, probably closer to $10. She'll get stuff like new markers, stickers, tape, an activity book, post-it notes and a few treats.

So far, I've bought body wash, neat soap, travel deoderant, toothpaste, cool bandaids, candy, drawing paper, mini photo albums, disposable cameras, lip gloss, a word search, yo yos, and yu-gi-oh cards. I need 3 more things for Yuri, our host child from Russia, so he'll have the same number of things as our kids. For these things, I've spent about $150 total for the 3 kids.

For DH and I, I've bought Atkins friendly candy, toothpaste, emery boards, mascara, razor blades, sonicare toothbrush heads and shower gel. I've bought less for he and I but have paid about $120 for it.

I wish we had smaller stockings, but DH insisted on the super-sized ones.

I guess it depends on the child's age. I, personally, am getting things from the Dollar store! :p

Thanks! You just gave me a great idea! DD is forever wanting to tape anything & everything and, is always using MY tape. I'll get her some of her own! :p I hear they even have printed tape, like Disney characters, I'll look for that now! :teeth:

Kids stockings always total less than $10 each. This year they're getting:
sour spray
those plasticy "catch a bubble" tubes
a mega pixie stick
finding nemo mini sticker book
Pop rocket for son, mini stamp set for daughter
and the ever popular chocolate coins

It's DH I can never find stocking stuffers for. My favorite of all time was the musical santa tie I got for $1 at the dollar store. As of now, his stocking will be empty this year. Anybody got and great DH stocking stuffers?

I put anything small that might get lost under the tree in the stocking. Usually jewelry, so yeah, that along with the tradition of silly string, and other stuff, it does get expensive.

cruisnfamily: it's not very exciting, but DH generally gets sundries like razor refills, soap, deodarent (sp?), toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. My teenagers got stuff like that too and some fun stuff from the $ store and candy.

I have older kids girl 16, boy 20 and a girlfriend of sons

I have:

gum, chocolate balls/bells, magazines, batteries,

pushup pops with Christmas characters on top , novels,

socks, stickers, glass beads , Matchbox firetrucks (son

collects these) , Hershey kisses, lottery scratch tickets ,

gloves , deodorant , toothbrushes, other assorted candy,

disposable camera

DDs cost under $15 each. I am downsizing....they received a birthstone necklace, princess purse, princess bubbles and a few pieces of candy.....all found on sale:bounce: :Pinkbounc

my DH gets golf balls~fishing lures~hunting stuff~ lottery tickets~ g/c to Arbys (his fav) and he also has gotten tape for his hockey sticks. He actually is pretty easy.

Just us two adults, here's what we get eachother for stocking stuffers:

Mugs
pocket knife (for him)
cd's
dvd's
audio books

Each item runs between $10-$20. We each spend around $60 to fill a stocking.

Lottery tickets is a cool idea!!

I also get things from the Dollar Store, Five Below (nothing over $5!), or heck, even for free! (get kids samples or free things in the mail!)

So far we never go over $10... in fact last year it was about $5!

DD is getting some candy she can eat. (food allergies) She will also getstickers, an orange, a kelly doll, and peeking out of the stockig will be the Belle doll.

DH gets razors, gum a cd, dvd, and a pea dispenser. i completely went overboard this year. I couldn't resist this HUGE pez snoopy at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. It cost $12. It holds 12 packages of pez and plays the snoopy music.

I always get trouser socks and my clinique makeup. My mom chooses this, DH would probably come back with neon colors.

Kim-I was at SuperTarget today in the Christmas gift wrapping section and they had printed Christmas tape. Just thought I would let you know in case you can't find Mickey! :)

I stuffed DD's stocking full because I got tired of wrapping! LOL!

She is getting:
A Wiggles CD
Barrettes
A Belt
3 pair panties
A view finder w/ extra slides

DH is getting:
Handheld Free Cell Game
A Naszar
A bag of peanut M&M's

Thank you!!! :smooth:

CD's
Jewelry
Candy
Shampoo
Bubble Bath
Video Games
DVD's
anything small gets stuck in the stocking, regardless of price.

Right now DS11.5 will be getting DCL pen, bic pens, pencils, Castaway Cay pen, lip balm, Gatorland pen, Cat in Hat candy, ornament for hermit crab tank, Reeses cane so its about $17

DH will be getting Hogs Breath ashtray, Castaway Cay drybox, Hogs Breath long neck bottle opener, Hogs Breath coasters, bic pens, pencils, DCL backscratcher. There's more little stuff but Im not sure what will be under the tree or what will be in the stocking. Id say about $20-40

The 7dayplus hoppers will not be going in their stockings and neither will their Universal or SeaWorld tickets. They'll be in bigger boxes under the tree

Far too much. Although it is my mother helps to fill DD's stocking.

Her stocking is huge (I think like 4 feet). This might be her first year to be taller than her stocking.

It takes a lot for Santa to fill that stocking - and no we don't wrap stocking gifts!!!
