stocking stuffers for 10+ teens?

I second the lip gloss (any kind will do, especially if it shimmers!), nail polish, pens, pencils, hand sanitizer and chocolate.

Maybe ask everyone to chip in $1 or 2 towards a "stocking fund" if this tradition continues.

I think it doesn't matter "what" is in the stocking as much as knowing "something" will be in the stocking.

How about this poem: You've been naughty so here's the scoop. All you get for Christmas is some snowman poop! Then you attach that to a zip loc baggie that has some mini marshmallows in it. Of course, if you leave an envelope of cocoa with it.......might be nice.

a zip loc baggie of white chocolate pretzels.

(buy some white almond bark and melt it in a bowl in the microwave. Dip tiny pretzels in it and let it dry on waxed paper.)

Or take a long pretzel rod and dip one end in the white choc and then dip it in sprinkles. Wtap that in celophane and tie with a ribbon.

Rice krispie treat with red or green m&m's on the top wrapped in celophane.

At Michaels crafts in the dollar bins, they had all kinds of tablets and assorted stationery items with your first initial on it. That might be nice for the girls.

Oh I wish we had a Target or a Michaels in our town! Unfortunately we don't. And my current dilemma is that I don't know how many of the kids will be bringing stockings over, so I don't know how many to buy for! I am usually not a last minute sort, but it looks like I might have to be this year!

Thanks for the wonderful suggestions. I have lots of things to choose from!

Poohbear8 mentioned Avon. Right now they have stocking stufffers for under $1 and if you search for lip balm, you will find some for $0.59. Use the code HOLLY for free shipping for orders over $10. What a nice mom you are!

I don't really spend $ on stocking stuffers at our house...I do as my mom did, but even less the past 2 yrs. I get a pack of those junky Christmas Tree cakes (prewrapped), apples, oranges, a coloring book (2/$1 at Marcs), and a box of crayons (I get the 20 cent ones from Walmart during back to school shopping -- I REALLY stock up, haha). That's it. If, during the fall, I run across a great deal on a package of chapsticks (cutesy flavored ones, or actual Chapsticks), I grab them too. Winter is chapped lips season!

My mom used to get a container of yogurt-covered pretzels, and a container of chocolate-covered raisins and would portion those out into baggies. That's the part I skip.

The Philosophy products are really big in our town right now and I picked up a set of 6 ornaments with the 3 in one bath gel. They end up being about $6 each with shipping and are really cute!

Philosophy is expensive stuff, so $6 is the cheapest I've ever seen ANY of thier products!

I always buy something in multiples to keep on hand for an extra gift. It is always something I like too if there are any leftover (but I usually find someone to give them to!)

Chap stick or multiple lip gloss packages, even the dollar section at target might have some stuff. magic gloves, a no sew scarf, candy, etc.
