Hello all!

Looking for stocking stuffer ideas for my 10 dd. Thoughts? Thanks!!

I have a DD9. We usually put some lip glosses and small bottles of nail polish. She still likes to collect Littlest Pet Shop animals, so I usually throw one or two in there. Sometimes she gets a small Build A Bear gift card, along with one from her favorite pizza place. And much to my surprise, she still expects Silly Putty and a small Slinky every year. :confused3 I figured she wouldn't care about those anymore, but I guess it became a tradition for her. So I usually grab those from the bargain bins at Target.

Great ideas, thank you! I always loved using Silly Putty on the Sunday comics as a kid. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on the ink they use now.:sad2:

I know, we found out the hard way. DD was so excited to try that trick out.

Toothbrush, any kind of travel size toiletry, snacks or candy, gift cards, wallet or wristlet, headphones, comb, brush, purse-size mirror, socks, mittens, hair do-dads, jewelry, cutesy pens, pencils or erasers.

Parent of 3 girls here, ranging in age from 11 to 18. The ideas listed are things we have done over the years

  1. Photo Frame
  2. Novelty soaps - in the shape of lollipop
  3. Travel sized toiletries
  4. Purse sized comb, brush & mirror
  5. Favourite Candy
  6. Small bottle of perfume
  7. CD
  8. Inexpensive costume jewelry
  9. Fruit Flavoured Lip Gloss
  10. Earbuds for the iPod
  11. Nail Polish & a small basic manicure set
  12. Something silly - like the pig key ring that my almost 18 year old DD has. Squeeze the pig, and it breaks into maniacal laughter!
  13. Phone cards or iTunes cards
  14. Lots of hair accessories
  15. Key rings - particularly the ones with smart-alecky comments
  16. Novelty socks
  17. Small Trinket/ Jewelry Boxes

Had to pull up my list, but here are a few things going into dd10 stocking -
mini flashlight, ipod earphones, itunes giftcard, pen, Disney pins, orange, nuts, key chain
still need to get a TSA lock

Smencils - I think that is what they are called, the smelly pencils. They are only a dollar. DD12 and her friends like them.

Kooky pens - the Disney store has them buy one, get one half off.

I usually get a seasonal plush and have that peeking out of the top of the stocking.

:santa::wizard:

Great ideas.

I have to add GIFT CARDS and more GIFT CARDS! I have DD ages 9 & soon to be 12 and that's all they want in the stocking :lmao:

We have a number of standard "must haves" in the stockings:

Candy cane of Hershey kisses
Life Savers Sweet Storybook (a leftover from my childhood)
Orange
Gingerbread boy/girl from bakery

After that, there's not a lot of room! :rotfl:

Last year I picked up a wind-up toy (2" tall) at Borders -- you wind the toy and the frog jumps, or the penguin walks, etc. A surprising hit. Lip gloss, cheapy necklace bling, hair bands, pencils/pens are all things we've done in the past.

What about a flat wallet? VB coin purse? Gum? Tic Tacs?

When I was a girl, we had Dynamints. My dad wrapped one little candy and put it in the toe. All of us couldn't believe Santa did that to us. We still laugh about it.

I got my dd10 a wonder knitter thing from Michaels for 8 bucks and an American Girl sewing craft from there as well for like $5... plus some nail polish, a tootsie roll bank (all my kids get one every year) a book, some gum, etc....
