Stnd View rooms at BLT? Where are they?

Just wondering, are the Standard View rooms at BLT on certain floors of the tower, like the bottom 2 floors, for instance? Or, do they have standard view rooms on every floor? Can someone post a picture explaining where each room category. Thanks very much.

Oh, and why are the points so much higher at BLT? Except for the standard view rooms (which are still a bit higher, but not much, than BWV pref, VWL, BCV, and AKV savannah), the points required for the MK view are very high. Before I actually saw the points chart, I was thinking that they would be inline with BWV pref and BCV. The way I see it, BWV and BCV are within walking distance to epcot and the boat is so easy to DHS, it seemed kind of the same to me. My DH doesn't think so, though.

Good question. Maybe a new BLT owner knows the answer to this. I tried asking a guide (not mine) this question and got a non-answer. I think DVC has not released this info yet for public consumption.

This is my opinion.
While the BW views at BWV are very nice....and both BWV and BCV are within walking distance to Epcot, I just don't think these locations are as premium in comparison to being so close to the MK. I've had a MK view at the Contemp and it much more of a park view than most of the rooms at BWV/BCV---though I have seen some great pics of Epcot views. The MK views I had from our Contemp Tower room were amazing of the park. To wake up and see the Castle and Space Mtn......(can't be beat in my opinon). I just don't think BWV/BCV is as close or up-front as the MK views will be at BLT.

Also....last but not least.........BLT is on the monorail line. That, in itself, is worth it's weight in gold (thus the higher points overall at BLT). So I'm with your dh on this one. Others may have different opinions.

Exact reasons we sold BWV to buy BLT... can't get that view anywhere else, and that view is why I come to Disney.... Have had the top floor at BWV with an incredible view, but it will not compare to BLT MK view... we bought 160 points so we can bank them and stay every other year at BLT... but so worth it! we have a family of 6... so need 2BR everytime. WE are lucky that we still have BCV points as well, so we stay there during Food and Wine Festival and OKW at Xmas (largest rooms around! Best kitchen).

Kind of wondering as well. If the MK side has SV on the lower floors-some will be a better value IMO. Example if the 5th floor is the cut off-how much better can 1 floor be (5th vs 6th)?

Exactly what I've been thinking, if there is that dividing line, an upper std view might be as good as a lower MK view for a lot less points.

My guess is what you indicated, the MK view would be the upper floors of the front of the building (facing MK of course!) and the standard views would be the lower floors of the front (and maybe some lower floor rooms in other areas). I believe the decision makers already know, how else could they have the percentages? But the guides either don't know or are not allowed to tell at this point. Maybe the decision is not firm yet and they don't want to put out wrong info.

For me personally, I need to know those types of detail before I commit to many years of owning and staying at a resort.

I guess it's like the Wicked Tickets we have for tomorrow night-they jump from $79 to $125 at the next seat over-same row. The best example though is at a baseball game, when the 3rd base side ends and magically becomes the "outfield" seats.
