STK or The Boathouse????

Anyone eat at either of these restaurants recently and can give me your opinion? Going in September and trying to decide. TIA

We ate at the Boathouse in early June and really enjoyed it. I found it to be fairly kid friendly too.

Boathouse is, by all reports, a better value and more kid-friendly.

We ate at the Boathouse 3x last trip--so I guess we liked it.

The Carpaccio was to die for and the Swordfish even better than Blue Zoo. The filet was excellent as well.

I would go Boathouse. It has more of a Disney feel to it.

I haven't been to either, but STK looks out of place. It's extremely swanky. You'll have a DJ blasting music throughout the meal (at least that happens in NYC).

Boathouse is much more laid back. We went in the gift shop and grabbed a drink there. It was real cozy.

Does anyone know how STK is on the DDP? I have the DxDDP but those appetizers are really high, so I was not sure what is included and what is not.

I read a review saying the music was so loud it hurt that persons ears. Who wants to eat in an "upscale" steak house with that sort of din???

But many folks LOVE that--witness Planet Hollywood before it closed.

We'll continue to just walk right on by STK en route to the Boathouse--unless or until they calm the music down. Then we'll give it a whirl.
