Stitch's Great Escape?

What's the deal with Stitch's Great Escape? I read that it is open seasonally. Will be open the first week of February?

i saw video the other day of Stitch meeting inside the first pre-show area. the signage outside the attraction has been changed to identify it as a meet and greet.

Weird that they would change the signage. All reports were that the ride would not be returning. I see Disney's website does say it should reopen in late 2017. I wonder how accurate that is.

I have seen it opens from April-through the summer. Likely as the crowds are big then.

The changes happened after this summer season. Christmas also has large crowds, so they could open it back up. It's still odd that they changed the sign, though I suppose they could just as easily change it back.

I met Stitch and he's in the area before you go into the ride, we where told the ride is permanently closed by a cast member.

Well, I literally JUST saw an article stating that it will open back up on December 23rd, 2017 and run through January 6th, 2018, so @MaC410 was 100% correct.

This is awesome! The last day of my holiday trip is Dec 22, so if Great Escape reopens on Dec 23 I won't have to do it! I couldn't be more excited.

(I've expressed my ironic love/hate for this attraction before - I think the M&G overall is a better use of that space until something more permanent is installed. That said - SGE has been "seasonal" for some time and opens when the park has heavy crowds to handle overflow as an additional attraction. Not surprised if they're doing an encore during the holiday week - I mean, someone has to get coal in their stocking).

Hey All! Big Lilo and Stitch fan here and glad I found this thread! I came across this awesome prop that I think is from Stitch's Great Escape (That's what I'm being told... I think it's from there too). Wondering if any of you fellow Stitch lovers have seen this in the queue, ride, shop afterwards etc... I think it was in an acrylic case so people can't touch it. Let me know if you have any hints!
