Stitch's Great Escape - I'm Scared!

As others have said the Stitch version isn't bad but I love Stitch as a character. I wouldn't go on Alien Encounter when it was there. I hate the part of the Great Movie ride that has the Alien Encounter bit. I was freaked out by Honey I Shrunk the Audience and will never do it again. Feeling like things were crawling upo my legs was just too much for me to handle. For this reason I will not to It's Tough to be a Bug. I believe our minds convince us that something is going to scare us or freak us out and there is just no way to talk ourselves out of it. There are effects in Stitch that bother some people but I'm fine with them because I picture it being cute & fluffy Stitch but I can understand how it could really bother some people.

10 years ago I went on AE as a 12 year-old and it traumatized me for life! WHen SGE came out, I refused to go on it. My DSis(5) rode SGE, and it scared the bejeezes out of her too! There is just something about that ride! :lmao:

well let me tell you......this was our very first family vacation ever!!! so we are walking into magic kingdom and some man says "we are leaving and we cannot use these..... he gave us 5 fast passes for anything in the park...... anything!!!! so we head toward the rides, it was like 6:00 pm already and we saw the SGE so we went on it......... WOW what a dissapointment!!!!we even wasted 4 fast passes on it!!!! i think it scared my 9 dd for the rest of the trip!!!! she loves all the rides at cedar point and geauga lake even the roller coasters..... well she would not go on many of the rides fearing it would be like the SGE ride!!!! so next time i will pass on that ride!!!! vicki

Just had to let you know that when I go and watch Honey I Shrunk the Audience now, I sit with my feet in the seat!

I tried that & it felt like the mice/rats or whatever they are were jumping in my lap.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but the Stitch ride is BORRRRRRING!!!!! You won't be scared at all on it. In fact, once it's over you'll probably be like "What that's it? I thought something was going to HAPPEN?!"
BTW there is this part on it where they blow some kind of smell that is supposed to resemble a Belch. Well that was frikkin disgusting! I almost threw up, it smelled like death or something! GROSS!!!!!!

I loved AE! I thought it was a great attraction and a real step up from Mission to Mars.

Stitch was not spectacular. I didn't care for it but DD(8) loved it "Cindereeellaaaaa, your Prince is here". So we will probably do it again next trip.

I thought Stitch was a big joke. It was very dumb & boring. I was thinking, is this as good as Disney can do w/ this? Don't waste your time ... go on something else.

I'm definitely going to skip this. I think I already have it set in my head that I'm not going to like the ride...so I don't want to force myself to try it.

I'm terrified of objects/ people jumping out at me, so I hated Honey I Shrunk the Audience and Its Tough Being a Bug. I've only seen them once each, and I absolutely will not watch them again. I absolutely freaked with the snake and the mice/rat parts!!

Does anyone remember Captain Eeo 3D movie in Epcot?? That was absolutely horrible!! That creepy spider lady with all the chains on her and the long nails definitely traumatized me!! :scared:

only thing about that ride you should be scared of is..wasting your time to go on it :rotfl:

Captain EO was soooo awful. It was ridiculously cheesy. It had terrible acting, and really bad special effects. I can't imagine there was a big fallout when that one was on the chopping block.

I don't consider SGE a ride. From what I remember, you just sit there. Am i correct? It was really a waste of time.

Well yes I agree with the acting and the special effects, but I HATED that scary spider lady! That was really terrifying for only being 7 years old at that time!

Yes the lady was rough! But now aren't you more afraid of MJ? Jackson not Jordan.

oh DEFINITELY!!!! especially with that nose practically falling off of his face.

If you disliked AE so much, stay far away from Stitch. Many elements are the same. No sense taking the chance - especially since Stitch just isn't that great.

Stitch gets blasted on these boards! I don't hink the ride is that bad, but it isn't terribly stellar either.
I sort of feel like if you've seen it once, then there isn't a huge need to go on it again. As others have said, it isn't nearly as scary as AE, but many of the ride elements are fairly similar.

I sort of liked AE, since it was unique to WDW. Relying on your mind rather than big drops and spinning to create fear. (HM, too.)

Having said that, I thought the original Mission to Mars was kind of cool, and miss it. It wans't so much a thrill ride, as one where you used your imagination to pretend that you were actually going to space...now WDW has the Space ride in Epcot, where you actually get the feeling of going to space...but they had to resort to spinning :rotfl:

I agree that you can avoid the pressure on your shoulders, you just have to stay up until the thing is done adjusting. Personally, I don't sit down all the way. On the other hand, if that was the part of the ride you really hated, then know that Stitch has the kept the same device.
