Does anyone know if the new ride Stitches Great Escape will have a height requirement like Alien Encounter did? We never got to do AE, so I don't know why it had a height requirement. I thought it was because it was too intense for younger children. I'm hoping my DD's can both go on it.

Thanks

The height requirement was to allow for the safety bars that lowered over your shoulders to restrain you in your seat.
They put that in (I think) because the attraction was so loud and annoying that everyone would have jumped up and left.
But really it is to keep everyone from jumping up and freaking out all over the place.
I saw some sketches in a Disney publication of the new stitch ride and they showed the restraints still over the riders??
But common sense tells me that they will probably lower the height requirement to accomodate the "target audience".
But unfortunately I am not for sure.
Maybe a CM in the know like Safari Steve can give us the inside skinny???
Anyway, Good luck!

the month is suppose to be sept and the stich ride is almost identical to AE so just as scary

If it's officially opening in September might there be some 'try-out' openings in the preceding weeks (asks she hopefully!)
I also read somewhere that it isn't going to be as scarey as Alien although based on the same idea.

Why would a ride featuring Stitch be scary? Wouldn't the target audience be youngsters? Maybe it's just me...

I did read something about this attraction, but can't remember where. The impression I got is that it's about stitch being transported somewhere and getting loose. Similar to AE? Thanks to disney magic, it makes it seem like stitch is whispering in your ear or tousling your hair. It doesn't sound like a ride in the traditional sense, so I'm hoping that their isn't a height requirement. If there is, I hope it's low. I didn't go on AE. Was it a ride or a show?

When is it to open in September? My ds loves Stitch and his birthday is 8/27. We are planning a surprise trip over Labor Day that he doesn't know about yet. That's all he wants for his birthday. We planned on just doing the water parks, but if Stitch is open, we will have to go to MK, too.

Thanks,
Becky
