Where can you see Stitch besides at the Surf's up Breakfast? I was going to book that tomorrow for our trip but looking at the menu I'm not impressed and Plaza is cheaper.

If you have a Disney Visa there is a character meet and greet that sometimes features Stitch, but that is the only other place :(

On our trip in March we went to Surf's Up for a late breakfast and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We all enjoyed the food and had some incredible character experiences too. If you are still considering it I would recommend Surfs Up.

Aw boo :(

Yep, Visa M&G and Surf's Up are the only two places we have seen Stitch at DLR recently. I also second Surf's Up breakfast. We've done Goofy's, Plaza and Surf's Up and Surf's Up is our favorite for character interaction. But we got their early and had the place mostly to ourselves.

How nice are the CM's there? I'm wonder if we went at like 8am or something could we just get a picture with Stitch there's only two adults and we only want to see Stitch. :(

Or is the touringplans menu for Surf's up lacking in someway?
Omelet Station
Assorted Flatbreads
Mickey Waffles
Banana Carmel French Toast
Assorted Smoothies
Parfait Station
Chilaquiles
Smoked Salmon

What about the pancakes, bacon, sausages etc I've seen in older pics are they all gone from the breakfast? :confused3

I thought Surf's Up had bacon and sausages. I know they have Mickey Waffles - not sure about pancakes. I think it is rated #1 for character interaction. Food was just so so. At least that is what I heard.

I got lucky and was able to stumble across Stitch in Hollywood Land outside of the Disney Animation building in DCA one afternoon last February. I asked the CM on duty about his appearance and he advised me it was only because, "We searched and search but could not find Sulley, so Stitch decided to come out instead!". So, while uncommon, he can come out if you get lucky. But I'd stick with a breakfast at Surf's Up if you are really wanting a guarantee of seeing Stitch. We dine there on almost every trip and find the breakfast offerings just fine and the characters are great. Plus, this is the only character dining venue that has Mickey Mouse in the mix! :thumbsup2

Touring plans is wrong/lacking. Surfs up has eggs, bacon and sausage as well as some other breakfast staples not listed above (a couple cold cereals, oatmeal..). I can't think of anything they have at Plaza Inn that they don't have at Surf's Up (plus more at Surf's). If you want to see Stitch, definitely do Surfs Up. The other characters there are great too (I've been 3 times and seen Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, Daisy and Pluto every time. We also saw Goofy once as well- that's all but one of the fab five at one character meal!).

Forgot to add- I do not think the CMs (or Stitch). will let you just go in and take a picture with Stitch there. They usually discourage photos even for restaurant guests when the character is not at your table.

Surfs Up is a great time! Tons of options for the omelet station. I don't remember pancakes but there were Mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, Portuguese sausage, salads, sticky rice and lots of other options. I really don't think you'll be disappointed, the stitch interaction is excellent there. The price is worth it for the experience.

Thanks for all the input. Momma will be happy once there's healthy food but i'm a tad more picky with the morning time food. I think we might do Stitch's breakfast and I'll pay the extra if Momma has an objection to it being more expensive. I need my Stitch fix haven't seen him properly since 2010 :sad2: He was running away from me in Paris and I only managed a blurry picture and one of his girlfriend!

We went in January, and there were Mickey waffles and Minnie pancakes, as well as the french toast. Eggs, several kinds of sausages, bacon. At the omelet station they also had huevos rancheros.

This was only our second character meal ever (Ariel's Grotto was the first), and I'd happily go back again. The food was better than I expected, and the interaction was just as great as everyone here described...especially Stitch.

We just went to Surf's Up breakfast on the 10th for my son's bday and I have mixed feelings. The character interaction was AMAZING! The only thing my son wanted to do on our trip was see Stitch, hence the Surf's Up breakfast. Stitch and the other characters did not disappoint. Stitch came by twice, all characters stayed for a bit (didn't just sign books, take a pic and leave like some places) and they have little dance parties with the kids. The food on the other hand left much to be desired. The selection is minimal, especially compared to Goofy's Kitchen. They did have bacon and eggs, but no pancakes, only one small platter of fruit and no dessert bar like Goofy's Kitchen (which is my boys fav part of their Disneyland birthday breakfasts). So, it depends on what is more important to you. To see my son's face when he saw Stitch was worth the money and lack of food options to me. However, we will probably go back to Goofy's Kitchen next time.

The cast mates at the Visa meet and greet will not let you see him without the Visa card. Last time we were there they checked the card and id to make sure it was our card.

I just wanted to add that you can see Stitch in Mickey and the Magical. Map. There is no post show meet and greet, but if all else fails you might still be able to get a bit of a fix!

I've been to the surfs up mickey and friends breakfast twice and it is great. The character interaction is better than any character meal I've been to before.

Thanks I decided to book the breakfast after. I'll pay the different between that and the others if Momma complains about the price! :goodvibes

Stitch makes Surf's Up, totally worth it. Overall I liked Goofy's Kitchen better but when we were at Surf's Up it was pretty dead. Stitch kept coming back he would try to steal my son's hat and wear it, we were at a table for 4 and there were 2 of us so he just pulled up a chair and sat down. He made my son eat his breakfast. Stitch is awesome.

Yeah we always have the best interactions with Stitch in WDW so he's fast become my favourite. I had a little miss trouble t-****r on once meeting him and he totally played up to it. Guess he thought my badness level was high like his :goodvibes

Met him in O'Hana's as well and he was being naughty so Mickey Mouse put him in the bold corner and then when we got up to leave he came running after us to give us more hugs. He's the best :goodvibes
