The Stitch ride is awful! And they are hyping the billy bejeezus out of it. There are Stitch ad magnets on various monorails, a huge blow-up Stitch complete with a Santa hat at the TTC - enough to make you loose your breakfast, lunch or dinner, and Stitch apparel in every concievable manner. Stitch is like dog#@$#% - its everywhere!

Please don't flame me, I've had several toddies and am quite incendiary!

I agree!! Save me something to drink, I'll be there in a week! But won't waste my time seeing the Stitch attraction.

Wow, it's astounding how many bad Stitch reports have been posted!! :earseek: This attraction must really stink. I'm going to have to do it and see what all the fuss is about! LOL!!!

I agree. Stitch was awful. I wasn't expecting a lot after reading reports but dh and I both thought it was worse than anticipated.

We haven't tried the ride, but DH and I were definitely sick of seeing Stitch everywhere. We've never seen the movie, and DH wants to so he can see why he is everywhere.

I was scared to death after riding AE but I understood that it filled a niche for other people. I didn't even bother with Stitch - I can appreciate AE because I was scared by it, I don't want to ruin that.

My friends did try it and they say that the reason it fails so miserably is because they went for funny and scary - and accomplished niether. If they had stuck with scary, or gone to completely funny, they might of had a chance.

Actually, I think the ride is kind of cute, though after seeing once it won't be high on my repeat list. Adults are obviously not the target audience of this attraction...more like 5 to 10 year old males.

Yes, the character is everywhere, but I think the character itself it pretty cute...just that the attraction could have been done better with more "adult" appeal. They are limited by the basic design of the ride, but it would be a shame to tear out the whole theater. It was such a classic Disney ride, starting out as Flight to the Moon, then Mission to Mars, AE, and now Stitch. Someone just needs to come up with a realy good show to fit the format of this theater.

I would agree with Chuck S. I personally thought that it was very cheaply done, and pretty much stunk. My 7 year old son loved it and had to experience it 3 times.

Yes the ride is not that great but it's Stitch you gotta love it!! um . . . I am a HUGE Lilo and Stitch fan! I have a Disney room in my house and there is an entire wall dedicated to L&S. I can't seem to get ENOUGH of them. When you say there is A LOT of Stitch stuff can someone tell me where?? And what? We were there this past October and was able to do a sneak preview of the ride ( I was just happy to see Stitch) then afterwards you exited through the gift shop where I think I blacked out :faint: and awoke $250.00 broker BUT armed (well not really because it was all sent to the room) with some GREAT Stitch things!! I'm happy and I NEED MORE!! So with that said, WHERE and WHERE and WHERE?? I am obessed and NEED more!! :jumping4: :Pinkbounc :jumping4:

Add me to the pro-stitch list. Our family loves Lilo and Stitch, the kids watch the show all the time and the DVD plays over and over again in the car. All that said, with a family of 3 (9 :earboy2: 5 pirate: and 2 princess: ) this ride like Buzz lightyear (I don't see how any adult would put that on a "must do" list and we are fans of Buzz as well) will thrill my kids to no end I am sure. I can't wait till the gift store my self, Stitch reminds me of my dogs....Jack russell terriers (3 of them too) and I am hoping Stitch will be around that area for pictures too! This is why I love disney something for everyone! :grouphug:

My kids are huge stitch fans and to quote my 9yo after riding the ride she waited to ride for so long. "Wow mom I am kind of dissaponted!" Well me too kiddo - mee tooo....

They had so much to work with as the Stitch character appeals to such a broad range of kids and both boys and girls. Even older kids admit to liking stitch (ssh even my 12yo neighbor who would not admit to liking Mickey).

Disney could have done so much more. He is the fun loving, well meaing but sometimes troublesome person in all of us ~~ why not reflect that?

Please don't flame me, this is only my family's opinion------

My family loves the movie Lilo and Stitch but we ALL thought the Stitch ride was a waste of time. We had a 20 minute wait and when we left, there was a 60 minute wait. I would call it an attraction rather than a ride because you don't move (at least I dont think so). We didn't even think it was funny. One would think Disney Imagineers would come up with something better than that.

I have a 17 year old girl and 9 year old boy and both kids said "Never again." I agree.

First, let me say that I adore Stitch, and I loved seeing him all over the parks in December!

I did not even bother to go on the ride though. A few negative reviews - fine. But from what I've read, it's much worse than that. Because I love the character so much, I chose to just ignore the ride! :earboy2:

I saw a blow up Stitch at TTC and at DTD. Also, I saw the character a couple of times in front of the ride at MK. I can't think of what else right now.

Is it me, or do you feel bad when theres a ride you love that everyone hates? :guilty:

when we did the passholder preview, we were followed by a group of disney 'suits' with clipboards studying our observations. they actually had to make an announcement the attraction was over at the end. the animatronics are amazing, the story plain sucks. and if there's no story...

I agree with Immelman - I thought the animatronics were good, but the story line was totally lame !! So Stitch spit on us once - OK we jumped and laughed. . . twice, ewww. . . 3x, enough already . . . they may have even sprayed us a fourth time - I lost count ! However, my 7 yo Stitch loving DNeph talked about it for days (in a good way) - I guess he fits their target audience. I hope they do something to improve this attraction, as I'll surely be dragged into it for many years to come as the Grandkids grow up!

Let me start by admitting that I am a wimp. I went on Alien Encounter alone because my children were only babies at the time and, although I thought it was very good, I hated it. I also refused to take them on Dinosaur last month, my DH had to ride it with them, but I did enjoy Stitch's Great Escape. Admittedly I made my DH check it for me first, but when I took my DS-6 and DD-5 I thought it was a cute little attraction with just enough darkness to make it exciting for them, and I wasn't scared at all :D

I don't feel that way. We all like different things. I am not big on thrill rides. Some of them I will do, but not all of them. My DD is terrified of thrill rides, so I ride everything with her. I stick more to the "kiddie rides" (if you will) and know many adults who stay away from them and head for the big guns.

If I got my feelings hurt every time somebody said they despised the Peter Pan or Dumbo ride, I think I would be taking their dislikes personal.

The line for Stitch was unreal on 1/3 and based on reviews, we didnt waste our time. I was talking to a CM and he was saying that the CMs got to try it out before it opened. The general consensus among them is that no one liked it. Its not much different than the old alien encounter, its too scary for some kids, and most people seem to prefer the cuddly Stitch and are disappointed thats not what the ride is about (many dont know ahead of time what its about).
