Stitch -- the ride

Any reviews on this ride? Is it too intense for 4 year old -- (not scared of anything last trip to the World)

For a "brave" 4 year old it won't be too intense, but IMO it's not particularly good. We did Stitch when it was in soft opening, either a year or a year and a half ago (can't remember which trip it was) and none of my children liked it (they were 5, 8 and 11). It wasn't that they were scared, they just thought it was stupid. We won't be wasting our time on the next trip.

This was the one ride we actually had to ask them to stop so we could get off. The kids were age 10, 7, and 6. The 7 year old is never afraid, but this just creeped him out. In my opinion, it's too intense, too realistic for a 4 year old. I suggest riding it alone, then you can make a better judgment.

Thanks -- your reviews were consistent with my guide book of choice. We didn't do this our last trip - no particular reason just didn't.

My 4 year old grandson loves everything Stitch. He saw this and begged to go on. Well, he did (grandma didn't) and he loved it. Everyone else thought it was lame. But he went on it 3 times. Maybe it is 4 year old humor. He also went on Thunder Mountain 6 times and was told a stern no when he wanted to go on Space Mountain. He was not interested in ToT...thank the Lord!!!!

Agree 100%. Even my DD 6yr who adores Stitch hates this ride (NOT b/c it is scary, but just bad....)

I am almost 20 years old and this ride SCARED me to death! I will never ride it again, and i really would not suggest this ride for a four year old, not even a brave one. It stays black (dark) for a very long time, and the sounds are spooky enough to really freak you out. Hope you have fun on your trip!!!

man you guys and gals are sissys. You'd have peed yoruself if you had the true pleasure of seing Alien Encounters. Stitch is the soft core version. imagine havinga giant flesh eating alien breathing down your neck with people both realand fake screaming around you in the pitch black while hearing sombody upstairs get eaten and having a strange liquid droped on your head (possibly blood) it was intense and awsome. if it wasn't for it being at the magic kingdom and stupid parents who don't read signs it would still be here.

Did you experience Alien Encounter after it first opened? We did it was very intense. We loved it. However, people (whiners) complained and it was changed the next trip we took. What I wouldn't give to have the ORIGINAL AE back. The new Stitch ride leaves you wondering why you just wasted several minutes of your life.

We rode Alien Encounter way back in 2000 and the thought of that ride still creeps me out. I have never been either scared or unconfortable on a Disney ride before I got on AE. When the "Alien" touched the back of your neck, I almost had a heart attack!! I also got the water in your face at the end of the ride, and I couldn't jump out of my seat any faster. I am getting freaked out right now, just talking about it...................

I will "fourth" that sentiment. I am soooo glad we never stood in line for that ride. I think the pre-show is better than the actual show. The first time I kept waiting for "something/anything" to happen!

We never experienced Alien Encounter - it closed about the time we moved here.

Why does everybody hate the stitch ride? Im 15 and love thrill rides (TOT was a laugh )and I thought it was a good ride.

It is Horrible! I'm 30 and I freaked out on this, I wouldn't call it ride! My dd is 6 and I would not take her on it. It's not worth doing at all!

My 7 year old calls it "Stitches oh great, I can't escape"

She got off saying "That's it? But it didn't dooo anything!"

I wish we could have experienced the original AE. I love having the pants scared off me.
