but you know you children better than anyone. My son grw upin theme/amusement parks from 3 weeks old on. First, WDW trip was at 6 months old, so he is a vet when it comes to rides. He really enjoyed Stitch even thugh he said it was scary. It made him feel like a big kid going in it. I think Disney did a great job making the attraction "kid friendly". It WILL still scare some children, but overall the attraction is enjoyable for most ages.
Height limit is 38 inches, which will eliminate a lot of younger children. Try Pirates, Haunted Mansion first if they do alright there, I would say give it a try.
I was wondering about the height requirement too. I read on the Disney site that it is 38", but in the official guide book I read that it's 44". Does anyone know for sure?
We hated Stich! My 5 year old was OK, but there were tons of screaming children there. I don't think there's anything to really recommend it. I wasn't scared, but I didn't find it entertaining at all. I think it's a waste of time, but YMMV

We totally agree. DD7 was not scared and kind of liked it, but DW and I both thought "what a waste of prime property". I didnt like AE, but I would almost wish for it back instead of Stitch.
My 5 yr old loved Stitch!! We actually met Stitch right before we rode it so I think that made it even more fun for him. I personally thought it was kind of boring. The story really didn't make much sense to me let alone a 5 yr old. But DS5 and I sat in the front row and stitch actually spit on us a couple times. He still talks about that and the chili dogs. I would at least try it once. As for your 3 yr old, I would take the suggestion from above with trying HM and POTC first.
We did AE in 2000 when DS was 8, it ruined the rest of the trip. He didn't want to ride anything. We have not rode stich yet but the way it sounds it is AE only with Stich escaping. Forgive me if I'm wrong but if it is still basically AE I would not take a little kid on it again.
