I for one am so excited for Father's Day because I bought my DH a set of corn hole boards from Sun and her DH and I can't wait to play!!!

I for one am so excited for Father's Day because I bought my DH a set of corn hole boards from Sun and her DH and I can't wait to play!!!

I am doing nothing for Mother's Day by choice. DH said we can do whatever you want, it is your day. I said, I want you to put in the kitchen countertop this weekend. That will be my Mother's Day gift. If he is finished by Sunday, maybe we will go to the Sox game. Doubt it, but you never know. Knowing our luck, he will run into major plumbing issues and I'll be without water come Monday morning.

DH is having surgery on the 21st and I'm not sure how long he is going to be out of commission. Hopefully, not long, but I want him to get those shipped before just in case. I could probably do it myself, but he's good at that stuff and I don't trust myself to do it correctly. The box would probably be falling apart by the time it got to you if I did it. He knows and wants to get them out before his surgery too so that is the date we are working to. He wants to make sure they are packed in there good and won't shift around and are protected, blah, blah, blah.............

I have pictures of your boards on my computer. I was going to post them, but then thought maybe I shouldn't b/c if your DH ever goes on here. However, you just talked about the boards so really you would spoil it.

Are you serious on how do you play or are you joking? If you are serious, google cornhole rules or something along those lines. If you have any questions, let me know. The only rule I have is you can't call it cornhole like those crazy Ohio people. I call it bags.

We tailgate for Bears & Sox games and play bags. We have BBQ's and play bags. Lots of bags. I haven't played yet this year. *sigh*

What college is your picture of?

Bags or cornhole is where the object is to the throw a bean bag in the hole. You get 3 points for a bag in the hole, 1 point for a bag on the board. Teams of 2. First team to 21 wins. You have 8 bags total, 4 to each team. So, Xena is going to order 4 purple bags & 4 yellow-gold bags. Let's say Xena and I are on a team and our DH's are on the other team. The boards are around 30 feet from hole to hole, don't quote me on the length. I stand next to my opponent (DH) on one end. My partner stands across from me with her opponent (DH). My DH and I start with our bags and alternate throws. At the end of the round, the pts cancel. So, if I had 2 bags in the hole and 1 bag on the board, I would get 7 pts. If DH (the opponent) has 2 bags in the hole and 0 on the board, he has 6 pts. The pts cancel each other out, so my team gets 1 pt for that round. Now Xena goes b/c we won that round and her and her DH will alternate throws. Xena and I are on the same team, remember. First team to 21 wins. Hope I explained that OK. It is a lot of fun. Awesome to play during BBQ's and sporting even tailgates. We even play in 0 degree weather at Bears game tailgates. We also play for $ and will have tournaments with random partners out of a hat.
