Him and his friend decided to be mentally challenged and put hand prints and foot prints in a new sidewalk in front of a new build!! Names too! Like movie stars!! I'm surprised they didn't leave contact information, too.

Long story short - builder had to rip out the sidewalk and re-do it costing me..... ***drum roll folks*** ........ $1250!!! Half of the $2500 total cost!

As you can imagine - I am VERY proud. What an artist!

So - you want a lawn man, you got one!!!

OT - I bowled 2 good games tonight. 186, 125, 198 I haven't bowled good in a long time. Last night of bowling. I'm sick of it and welcoming the break.

The reason it was $2500 was this - they walked through the sidewalk squares to the square of their choosing, where the young star's left their mark. Like at the Graumann's Chinese Theater!!! So each square of the entire sidewalk, needed to be replaced.

The builder initially thought it was a father and son trapesing through the walk, as Danny's feet are like Sasquatch. That is until they saw the sassy movie star like imprints!!

What do they think?? What goes through their completely disabled minds??? Did they think the new home owner would be like 'COOL! Danny ______ and (friend) ________ left their paw marks with their signature here?? It will be a collector's item one day, I know it!!!"

The build is 2 houses down from the High School. Uhhh - kinda easy to go to the school and say "Hey - do you know these kids?"

And - I asked "Did you do this at night??" Thinking perhaps half the brain was used in this creative madness. No sir ree bob!!! Mid day movie stars!!

So I got a raise AND rear ended in the same day! On my way home earlier a little old lady hit me! She was a spitfire man she said she was aggrivated at the traffice and had frozen stuff in the car and just wanted to get home. Poor thing. By, the time the cops left the scene all her frozen stuff was probably melted. Luckily no one was hurt and she only damaged her own car because she slammed into my trailer hitch! Thank God for needing to haul the yacht from time to time!

I decided I'm going to bake a cake for Mother's Day, and I just bought a pastry bag and a bunch of tips for it, and I'm going to try and decorate it myself. I'll have to see how that turns out. I know I can write on cakes all right, and I don't think the border is going to be that hard, but I don't know if any roses I make will actually look like roses, LOL.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

DH finished our new counter & sink yesterday.

So, he (I mean, we) are putting everything back into the cabinets and cleaning.

All you Vegas lovers - do you use smartervegas.com? I went on trip advisor to ask a question and someone recommended going to smartervegas.com to search for hotel deals. So, before going there, I was checking the rates at some of the hotels. After going to smartervegas, the rates are way lower! It takes you to the hotels website and just gives you a code so it is the same thing as booking directly with the hotel.

Example - Monte Carlo was $79 per night on Monte Carlo's website. Smarter Vegas is $56 per night.

We booked our hotel today! We are staying at the Mirage for $88 a night w/ the code at smartervegas. The regular rates at the Mirage were $125 per night on their website. I'm super excited b/c we have never stayed at the Mirage. I thought that was pretty darn good rate.

So, my PSA for the day is to use smartervegas.com.

I hope your kitchen looks good! We might get new counters too. We aren't on the market anymore so we are going to stay put and fix what we have instead of getting something new and fancy. I would have loved to have the new house, but ours is a way better location. And you know what they say: location, location, location!!!

Great PSA. My DH will want to hear about this. I told him I don't want to do Vegas twice a year anymore, maybe just once. But he is already wanting to plan the next trip. I just want to go somewhere else for once. Maybe a cruise or something. Sigh!

Xena - So, that perfect sink box for your boards......... Didn't fit!
DH had to create a box for them so they are packed and ready to go. We will probably try to get them shipped out this Saturday. He packaged them on Sunday and no shipping places were open on Sunday. So, this Saturday should be the day to ship them out, hopefully. If we are not too hungover from a wedding this Friday.

I am so brilliant!!! Listen to this. My DH wants to go to Vegas too much for my liking, like I mentioned yesterday. So I decided I was going to use that as leverage. So last night I was showing him this cool new couch I saw in a furniture store ad and he said "I'll get you that if we can go back to Vegas in the fall." Well I had already thought of that, so I said OK if we get a new couch and ALSO we do the granite tile counters in the kitchen! Yippee! New items for me, Vegas for him, everyone is happy!
