We go to my SIL's house so I don't have any craziness!

Anyone doing any black Friday shopping?

I never have, but there are a couple of things I want to get at Walgreens for DD. They have the Hannah Montana X-mas doll she wants. They also have B1G1 free lil webkinz. I'm assuming the ads come in tomorrow's newspaper?
I wish they came today!!!! I know you can see most of them online, but I want the actual ads!!!!

Hello everyone!

I've been so busy the last few days, and haven't had a lot of time for the DIS. There are times when I think I liked my job better in high school, when I had less responsibility, and could go home on time, and not have to deal with paper work.

I'm cooking the majority of dinner tomorrow, I'm doing the turkey, two sides, and all the desserts. My mom's doing two sides, but she said she wasn't going to do mashed potatoes, since I'm already making sweet potatoes, and she feels that would be redundant. So I'm probably going to end up making mashed potatoes as well. I'm going to be baking pies all afternoon today.

So we got in a wreck tonight. Me driving, but it wasn't my fault. When the guy got out of his car he was saying it was his fault. DUH! Luckily it happened in a parking lot and there was a cop sitting one row away who saw the whole thing and he knows it was the guy's fault. He said he was on the phone and wasn't paying attention. We're both ok. Hopefully the car isn't totalled. Depends on if he did any damage to the frame. It was my Envoy that got hit not the Camry. He totally dented in my driver's side door. It won't even open anymore

In good news, we made an offer on the house today. It's listed at $219,900, We offered $205,000 plus $4000 in closing costs and $1000 for a fridge cause there isn't one in there. They counter offered and said they'd put their fridge back in for us, and the closing cost was ok and offered $212,500. We counteroffered back for $210,000, so we're waiting to hear what they say.

You know, Im beginning to dislike the holidays more and freaking more, every year.

It seems like it always storms and is chaotic for so many. All the bad crap happens before Christmas.

Ive never even liked Christmas - and now even more so.

I like Halloween. And the 4th of July.

I know what you mean Cat. DFIL went in for surgery on Monday to clear his corrodid artery. He ended up having a stroke either during or right after the operation. He came home yesterday and went right back to the hospital this morning. I can't believe the Drs let him leave the hospital since he couldn't even sign his name to leave. The nurse insisted it was just the drugs that hadn't worn off yet. He's going to be in for a few days now.

Angel - That stinks about the car, hopefully you'll get the house.

Cat - I agree the holidays can be crazy, and I agree that bad things seem to happen around the holidays. Two years ago a friend of mine died on Thanksgiving day.

Luckily this year the worst thing that happened was my dad and sister ate most of one of the pies I made for today last night. Personally, I don't see how two people can eat a whole pie, but I told them I wasn't making another one, so mom, grandma, and I will be the only ones eating pie tonight, since they already ate more then there share.

Anyway, I'm going to be eating soon, I just stopped by to say I hope everyone has, (or had, since the day's almost over,) a happy holiday.

Now I just need to wait for the rest of last night's Top Chef episode to download, so we can watch it after we eat.

Hi everybody.

I went Black Friday shopping today. I picked up a couple of items, nothing major though.

I did get the $4 crock pot from walmart. My goal is to have a crock pot in every size possible. I have 5 of them right now.

Did anyone else go? I know Angel went , I saw it on another thread.


DFIL is still in the hospital. He's able to use his right arm now but he's having trouble talking. He get's frustrated because he wants to talk but he can't convey what he wants to say. I feel bad for him, I know he's scared about what's going on because he's perfectly aware that he isn't able to do things. He'll be there until at least monday. We are scheduled to go to WDW next Thursday and now DH may not go. DFIL only has my DH and a brother (DH's uncle) who is a useless piece of doodoo so I understaned DH wanting to stay with his dad. It's just that we've been planning this trip for 3 years now and it's sad that DH may not go.

Everything depends on what the Dr says monday. If they want to do more surgery then DH will definitely stay here. The alternative is the Dr wants to put him in an acute rehab facility so he can work with a speech therapist daily.



For birthdays I have Alexander Graham Bell and Jean Harlow (there's other's but I liked those 2 best).
