We're going out for wings tonight and I'm so excited. it's not a fancy place at all and everything comes in a basket but since I have no job at the moment I decided to totally pamper myself. I just took a shower and shaved all over the place, then spent like 30 minutes slathering myself with lotion. I just dried my hair and it's all bouncy smooth and soft ad now I'm thinking of playing with makeup! I am WAY too excited about going out for wings! LOL!

Heehee! We do! Right now it's at the in-laws house in Florida. I believe FIL is bringing it back up here to us in January I want to say??? Theres a big awesome lake here that will be perfect for it. It's a really fun scene in the summer. Hmmm maybe we can have summer parties here and at Sun's........fill the cooler with beer and head out on the yacht......SWEET!


And also, agreed. WTH happened to all of our other peeps!?! Its so nice to see the thread rockin again!

Yeah - unless the house comes with a yacht, I see no reason to move. All that work and no yacht? Forget it.

Here is the status on the house hunting/putting house on the market:

We were working on our house a lot over the past year and we had a few of the projects still unfinished, so it isn't a great time to go on the market. But we really like this new neighborhood that I mentioned before. The school district was a problem, but we found out that it might have been a mistake and some of the other familys looking there are working on it also, to get it back to our district which would be great.

So we decided to work really hard on our unfinished projects and try to get it on the market so we can make an offer in the new neighborhood. The three that were our favorites already have offers on them so we probably can't get them, but there is a new idea. There are some foundations poured there that never had houses built on them before they became bank-owned and we have a friend who is a contractor that could build it for us if we buy a foundation. So I am waiting right this minute for the bank to email me the house plans that are supposed to go on one of the foundations and see if we like it.

I don't have a yacht or a jet ski, but I do have DVC!

I've seen like every episode of Friends. On the one DVD there's a music video of Smelly Cat.

OMG you just introduced me to a new area of the DIS. I thought the budget board was for people who are trying to survive on $.27 a day for food and making their Christmas gifts out of old socks or something.

I had no idea there was shopping involved. I actualy need some of these coupons!

I'll spend a lot of time on the budget board sometimes. There are some really creative thirfty people on there, that are good at finding sales and spending money. Though I tend to buy more then I actually need.

Like I was at Layne Bryant the other day, and they always send out $50 off of $150 coupons, and then I had a 25% coupon, so I got like $180 worth of clothes, (plus some of the clothes were already on sale,) for $100, plus I got two $25 off of $50 coupons for December, so I have to go back and spend $100 more, but it will only cost me $50. Does that make sense?

So long story short, I'll save $130, but I'll be spending just as much. Still, that's not a bad deal. And I did need new black pants, and I wanted a cute new outfit for the holidays.

Hi everybody. I've been so busy lately, with the holidays coming up I'm trying to get my house in order. I've been scraping wallpaper for the last 3 days and I need to paint the kitchen. DH isn't going to have time to make new cupboards for a couple of years so I'm going to paint since it's so dingy looking right now. If the kitchen looks nice when I'm done I'll post some pics. I'm usually afraid of color when painting, I stick to white/beige/tan. (I know- BORING!) I've decided to paint the cupboards a brick red color and the walls an off white - the name of the color is sunkissed peach. I'm visioning a Delicious apple with a bite out of it as my colors. I hope it turns out as nice as I'm picturing it.

Of course, I have disney trip coming up in 22 days and my DFIL is having an operation the monday before thanksgiving. He's going to stay with us for a week after the operation. So I'm trying to get things cleaned up in addition to the painting. The kids are going to have to bunk together for a while. Our guest room is downstairs but DD is afraid to sleep down there and I don't want to make DFIL walk up and down stairs after an operation.

On a brighter note though, DFIL did volunteer to watch our dog so I don't have to pay for a kennel. That's going to save me $150, woohoo! Extra souvenirs!

I'm going to get online at least once a day to check out this thread and one other that I frequently go to. I haven't been online much at work lately since I switched departments. I'm learning when I can get away with it though, so I'll be up to my old business in no time.

I have 4 pairs of crocs. One pair is regular style pink with Mickey Mouse cut-outs, a black pair of Mary Jane's, one black pair of the ones with the fuzzy stuff in them, and a pair of croc flip flops with the cloth thong. They are wite on the bottom with brown and white flowers on the thong.
