Here it has just started to be nice. It snowed here last wk & now its in the 60/70 range.

My trip was awesome! I loved Jamaica. What a wonderful country & people! The weather was beautiful. 80 and sunny everyday. It did not rain at all. There was always a breeze off the ocean so you were never hot. The sun was very HOT though. I couldn't even lay out very long without getting fried. I used lots of sunscreen too and still got prickley heat. I got pretty tan and didn't even spend a lot of time in the sun. We had to get out there early to get chairs in the shade near umbrellas.

Abby loved it. She met some friends from Canada and swam from 8 - 5 everyday. I'll post some pics as soon as I have them loaded.

We hired a private driver one day to show us around which was the best $ we could have spent. We went to downtown Montego Bay to the old courthouse where they used to hang slaves. We were the only tourists there which made me a little nervous. We saw monuments where all the slaves names were engraved. We saw a plantation house and the different housing levels, lower, middle, and upper. It was very interesting. Then we went to Rockland Bird house where we fed hummingbirds by a bottle which was very cool. Abby loved that. Then we went to dinner and to Luminous lagoon which was a body of water where when you splashed around, it glowed. Unfortunately, none of our pics worked here, but it was very neat.

It was an awesome trip. I'd go back in a heartbeat. The people there are great.

Yomomma ~ I 5 all the way! (you asked what way we were driving) My kids think it's cool that we live maybe 7 minutes from I 5 and we can take it all the way to Disneyland. I say that a couple of times a year when we are going somewhere. Hey guys, if we just keep driving we will get there in 24 hours. Who's in????

Pillow Cases or Pillow Sheets? (this one is a trick question.... I've never corrected my 17 year old since he was a wee-one from saying "Pillow Sheets" (which actually makes more sense, really) but now my 13 y.o says it too. Then one day - like last year - Joey said "Pillow Sheets" and I said "You realize theyre called Pillow CASES, right?" And he looked at me like I was crazy - then called every one of his friends, and his Grandma, to prove me wrong. Of course, only he called them Pillow Sheets ) And has since refused to call them anything but - pillow sheets.

SAH-sage or SAW-sage? for Sausage. I say SAH - again, like a Bostonian.

Yes, she got 1/2 braided, not the whole thing. They call it the "crown." I'll post some pics soon.

So, I should post a picture of my mishap in Jamaica. I got stung by a bee. I've been stung by bees quite a few times in my life so no biggie, right? WRONG! This mother bee went under my towel and I sat down and squished it right where my knee bends. So, the dummy I am saw the stinger in me and didn't want to touch it so I waited for DH to get out of the pool and pull it out. He pulled it out and the stinger was still moving in his hand. So, I put some ice on it, figured no biggie. Well, my leg around it swelled up pretty good and now I have little blisters all over it and it itches like crazy. I've been putting hydrocortizone cream on it, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I have no idea why it is blistering. My guess is it was from the sun and the ice rubbed the sunscreen off. I say this b/c I got a few blisters on my shoulder which turned into a little peeling. I don't know, but it itches and is all red and blistery. Gross, I know. Any suggestions?

Man, that sun down there is CRAZY! I could only lay out in the sun for about 1/2 hour to an hour per day and couldn't take it anymore. When I was in Mexico, I laid out all day w/ no sunscreen and didn't burn at all.

Ok, so back to my bee sting. What do you think? Just suck it up and hope it goes away. I think it happened on Friday.

I jumped back wards the wrong way and *POP*. I had to wear a Terminator cast thing for weeks and weeks after that moronic move.

I'd go to the DR. I'm usually NOT one to go - but that doesnt sound good. And what if Jamaica bee's have some sort of venom that could cause bad things to happen??? I'd hate to call you Nubby SUN, if they had to chop the thing off.

I do not like bees either. You sound like my sister. She freaks out if she sees a bee.

I'm not going to the doctor b/c he will probably just say keep putting the hydrocortizone on it and I'm not paying $100 doc visit for that.

I'll give it a week and if it doesn't get better, maybe I'll call them.

Until then, I'll just keep complaining about it.

I just realized I have a 3 day week. We are off Friday for Good Friday.
