Hi everybody. Love the shirts Cat. I'll have to keep you in my thoughts retroactively. I haven't been online much the past couple of days. It's busy time at work and by the time I get home, I'm pooped!

I'm not watching the Pat Swayze interview, too depressing. I like him but I saw a clip of it yesterday on the View and Barbara Walters was crying on there. I know if it's making her cry just talking about it, it must be incredibly sad.

I was at Target last night and they sell the Joy Mangano Hangers now. They are on sale, a box of 28 for $17.99. I considered getting some.

Well, we talked last night and he decided to put feelers out there as far as other employment, but to keep working as if he were sticking it out. That way we'll let God open or close whatever doors he wants. It'll take a leap of faith no matter what we decide, so....

Oh, and I vote for your dinner. I'm a sucker for a chili cheese dog - I just 'em!

Ward, did you watch GHI last night? I saw it was a new episode but when I turned it on DH just groaned and rolled his eyes so we ended up watching a DVR of The New Adventures of Old Christine. THAT he loves. lol

I didn't look for the thread yet, so I thought I'd post here. I'm feeling lazy, moody and self-indulgent today

My kids love chili cheese dogs. How do you make them?
I make them crunchy, I heat the chili & hd, then I put it on a pan in the bun and add cheese on top and melt in the oven and the bun gets all toasty.

Oooo, that sounds good! I'm a little more lazy than that. I take a cold hd put it in a bun top it with Tony Paco's chili and cheese then nuke it for a minute. Yummy and no work.

I can't watch anymore either. I was secretly happy that DH "groaned" me out of watching last night. The only reason I was going to watch was so I could discuss it on your thread.

Now for a little confession from a home cook - I secretly used to love Totino's mexican pizzas. I can't find them anymore or my freezer would be full of them

Ok, I know you are all on pins and needles. What did Xena's kids choose? Was it chili cheese dogs or cheese quesadillas? It was chili cheese dogs. I don't make the buns crunchy, but that sounds good. I might have to do that next time. I do like to saute a little onions also, but we were all out of onion. It was good though.

After that we did an old Snohomish tradition. Whenever it floods we get in the car and go look at it. It was kinda scary because I let Nate drive and we ended up on a road that I didn't think was flooded, but actually was flooded. It was a very narrow little road near the river that was almost impossible to turn around on and we were in 4-5 inches of water, but I didn't know where the edges of the road were. I got a little scared!

Jordan ~ I 5 is under water near Centralia! There is currently no way to go south or east of here because south is flooded and east I don't think any of the passes are open. Of course west is ocean and I can't go north because my kids don't have passports so my world is very small right now!!!!!! (Not that I need to go anywhere, it's just funny!) I heard there are 169 closed roads right now.

Yes, yes! Switch it! I love chili-cheese dogs. Thing is, I dont think Ive ever had them at home. It's one of those things Ive always had somewhere else - not at home.

I have a picture of all of us, at the POP food court. We alll looked ROUGH! (It was our last ever time driving) For some reason when we hit Valdosta-ish, I had loads of energy, lets just keep going. So we did. But POP wouldnt check us in early. (even if we paid for a day) said their system goes down over night.

So, it was like 3 am. We went to IHOP to try and make it until 7 (when she said it wold come back up) and we were just too tired. We ended up getting a room for a couple hours at the Grossinger. BUT WAIT - it doesnt stop there....

I went to take a shower, I get out and Jim goes, we're leaving there's bugs.... and there were little itty bitty bugs crawling all over the walls and night stand.

I went down to the front desk and by now Im in tears (Im tired!!!) I said I want my money back and I want it back now!!!

Then - we went to..... gosh, what is it called??? Oh! The Hotel Royal Plaza. I cant recommend that place enough. It was a stunning room, in the tower - with a jacuzzi tub. Just gorgeous. It's a shame it was like 5/6 am when we checked in, for a few hours.

(all this about Chili Dogs....Im getting there) So when we get to POP, our room isnt ready. We've slept like 5 hours, we're all discombobulated, and I have a picture of the boys, and Jim, and my spot....with chili cheese.... and when Jim see's that picture he goes "UGH! I felt HORRIBLE that morning! Look at us!!!!"



ON another note..... my right side, is fine. My left side has a cold.

The left side aches, my eye is watering, my nostril is running, my head is pounding and stuffy, my teeth hurt, the left side of my throat is SO SORE! My lung feels all icky when I breathe, on the left.

But the right the fine.

The funny thing is when he was like 2 or 3 Taco Bell had a mexican pizza, and when I would say cheese & chicken quesadilla the people would look at me strange. I knew what the kid wanted.

Our Pizza Hut has taco pizza, its so yummy!! Chico's has the best taco pizza.

I bought a new Foreman yesterday. I left my old one at my old house.
I had that thing for years, the handle was broken, but it still worked.

OMG your chili dog story is too funny, I could totally picture everything you were saying! When I was growing up after we moved to NC we'd ALWAYS drive to Disney. My parents don't fly ANYWHERE unless it is absolutely necessary. once my mom flew with me to Los Angeles and last year they flew to Vegas. Other than that I don't recall them flyinf ever in my whole life. They refuse to pay for it. Weirdos. So anyway I can definitely feel your story. The whackadoo's visited DH and I 4 times in the one year we lived in Port St Lucie and they drove down every time. 11 hours! Nutters I tell you!

So last night I was watching some HGTV in peace and quiet. Kids were in bed and DH was at hockey. I was watching some show called rate my space where they have a room that needs some fixin' and they take three inspiration rooms to get ideas and redo the room. One of the inspiration rooms was "Cat and Jimmy's" kitchen! They had this really cool old booth from a vintage diner in their kitchen. Do you have a booth Cat?

Xena is one of those people that the police and officials yell at, cuz they go site seeing when the roads are all flooded!!!!

Then you see the aerial view of them, hanging on to tree branches as their car floats away!!!!

Then they interview them, after they've been rescued and they act like they didnt know. They only thought it was a few inches - even though every radio and TV report has been saying stay off the roads.

Im just teasing you Xena!



Maybe Ill post my ring pics today. I got mine in EPCOT, in the Italy Pavilion. I was like this when I saw this big glass bowl on the counter, with allllllll these *rainbow's* of color, in glass.

I was digging in that bowl forever!!! Trying them on. Theyre just fun.

So, when I had to come up with something for Jimmy's nieces (he's the youngest of nine, did I tell you guys that?) I thought those would be fun. Hence why you guys got some too.

Theyre just fun. Nothing fancy.

How do you make the zucchini sticks?
I want a panini maker!!
I bought a new Foreman yesterday. I left my old one at my old house.
I had that thing for years, the handle was broken, but it still worked.

I got a panini maker for Christmas and I am chomping at the bit to use it!

Zuchini sticks:

cut the zucchini into a bit bigger than french fry sized sticks. In a bowl beat an egg and a tiny bit of water. Roll the zucchini sticks around in the egg mixture. Put Italian seasoned bread crumbs on a plate and put the sticks in the bread crumbs a few at a time and bread all sides of the sticks.
Spray a baking pan with cooking spray and place the sticks in a single layer on the pan. Spray the top sides of the sticks with the cooking spray. bake at about 400 or 425 degrees for about 10 mins and then flip them all over and spray the new top with cooking spray. Bake for about another 10 mins or until they look crispy or the way you want them. I like them crispy. Take them out and sprinkle with salt
