So, what do you think?

:cool1: I'm working from home. :snooty:

Yeah for new homes! So, did you get anything besides a new house for your b-day?

 My Mom plans on not getting a land line in her house and "borrowing" the internet from a neighbor too.

I think we all need to post pics of our rings. I'm curious to see everyone else's!

Nope, I think it was Ward's kiddo that had it not too long ago. Maybe????

We (DH is home today, thank goodness) are on our 3rd load of laundry. She can't even make it to the garbage can next to her. I'm ready to tie something around her neck so she can make it in there. Good news is she had soup last night so it could be worse. I feel bad for her. She is crying and keeps saying she is sorry. :sad1:

I do remember the favorite color. Glad I said orange! :thumbsup2

Awww...poor kid. I hope she starts feeling better soon.

Im so glad you like them too. I just thought they were super fun! Everyone got different colors. Remember the 'whats your favorite color' question? You should have gotten one at least similar to what you answered. :thumbsup2

Very clever :thumbsup2

Puke Free time.

It doesnt feel like Friday. It feels like a Monday or something. It's weird.

That's what I am thinking. I have had two days off and now a half day then 2 days offs? I like it, but a lil bit confused!!

Very nice. I wanted to put my TV above the fire place but I wasn't sure how that would work out. Maybe I will try it now.

Well crap I woke up to 5 more inches...of snow that is...
I hope the weather gets better by Wednesday, so the kid can make it home.

You just have to be careful of the heat. See that black thing above the fireplace. It is a shelf to block the heat. Your TV manual will tell you how HOT the TV can get. DH used an outdoor thermometer to test it. We needed that shelf (mantle) there to block the heat. There is only about 6 inches between the TV and shelf so I'm not sure if I'm going to put stuff on there or not. I think it might look too busy, not sure though........:confused3

We have NO snow here! Sounds like you guys are getting beat up out there. I did hear on the news last night that 2008 was the wettest year in Chicago ever. We got over 50 inches of precipitation in 2008.

I would be more than HAPPY to send some of the snow your way!!

No, no. no...she doesnt want it. We dont want it. We've had plenty, as well. We're all done with it. Thank you, though.

I wonder if the new Disney Mugs will have the rainbow balloons on them. I sure hope so. I posted a thread on the Theme Park board - I hope someone has a pic. :lmao:

Then all of you going next year will be walking around with a rainbow mug. :woohoo:

It doesnt feel like Friday. It's freaking me out.

I wonder if BOLT is still there.

Sun ~ I love the new fireplace. It looks great!

One of my rings is sort of like the one on the right. It has the same colors but it is sort of a stripe of green, a stripe of silvery kind of color, and a stripe of gold/orange. I wore that one first b/c I was wearing green the day I got them. My other one is white with copper dots like I mentioned before, but it also has a cool sort of textured stripe to it. They are very fun!

Jordan ~ No new inches here, but I guess they are getting it down south. I have 33 degrees so if anything comes down it will probably be snow. Mostly blue sky with tiny clouds right now though.

Taking back the rainbow one mug at a time!! :lmao:

Ok I guess I will keep the snow here...

Lucky you!! I was watching the news and Spokane was hit like crazy!!

I want to see pics of all your rings!!!!!

Cat - You snooze, you lose! Check Lagrange theatre. Maybe it will be there and that is a cheapy show. Don't see Tale of Despereaux though! What a waste of $$$$!

DH just rented Wall E from redbox. I haven't seen it yet. We are going to watch it tonight!

Ok, so I might need your help with our dining room color. DH wants to paint. The dining room is currently a very light blue / grey. We are using it as an office, not a dining room. However, the plan is to make it into a dining room so when we are ready to sell, it looks like a dining room. We are going to try to get a desk that closes into a cabinet so we can still keep the computer in there, but it doesn't look like a computer. KWIM?

So, what color? I wanted to go with a dark red, but DH thinks the room is too dark as it is. No windows so he wants something light. It is in between our living room which is a khaki color and our kitchen which is a bright yellow. We will probably go with a dark brown for the furniture which will be the dining room table and computer cabinet. That's about all that can fit. It is an odd room which has a door to the basement and the garage door is attached.

So, give me some color recommendations por favor.

I know, I totally dragged butt too long to go see it.

WALL*E - ehhhh.... we didnt like it. There's no talking. :confused3 I wanna rent Eagle Eye (I think?) That one looks interesting.

If it were me, I'd go with another Khaki/Tan shade. I wouldnt do dark red either.

Perhaps a shade of coffee with cream? KWIM?

Like this: http://yellowybrown.com/

Or this, which seems to be right in between your kitchen and front room colors:

You could have me over for dinner, and I can decide. :rolleyes1

Or you could go with my personal favorite:

I haven't seen WALL *E, but Kaeleb wants to.
I will take note on the mouse with dumbo ears movie :lmao: , ok I just like saying that, it sounds really funny.

When I get home I will take a picture of my rings.
I want to go see Marley & Me when I get off work.

I am going to paint my dining room Oatmeal, its from Ralph Lauren.

I don't think dark red would be a good color choice either.

Cat - that color looks like what I've been cleaning up all morning. :lmao: j/k

I don't think you want to come over for dinner anytime soon.

Wall E was not so good, huh? Oh well, maybe it will help me sleep. We saw I Am Legend last night. Not so great.........

Seriously, we are color challenged here. Our kitchen was straight out of the 1950's with Harvest Gold appliances, wallpaper, lineoleum floor, etc. So, I was going for a rustic orange and this is what I got:

Ooh! You can even see the groovy light fixture and refridgerator in this pictures:

DSC00143.jpg

That fridge still works and is in our basement full of adult beverages! :thumbsup2

DH painted the entire kitchen this orange and then had to repaint it. Our neighbors even asked why we got rid of the blinding orange. They were digging it from their house! :rotfl2:

So, help us out! I think we might just stick with the color in our living room as boring as that might be, it is safest! DH doesn't want to do any sort of green b/c the basement is green.

I want to see Marley & Me too, but I'm waiting for video. I hear it is sooo sad!

DH will only use Benjamin Moore paint. He's weird like that. I'm assuming Oatmeal is like a khaki brown?

Why don't you guys like dark red? I love that color for a dining room!

I used to have an orange and silver living room. I should try and find a picture....

It was wonderful. It was ORANGE - orange..... like the color of your ring, SUN - and metallic silver, shimmery - from Ralph Lauren.

I LOVED IT!!! I mean, it was just so FUN!!!

Im gonna have to see if I can find any pics. Man, I loved that room. It was the first place Jim and I got together, and we painted it. Well, he painted it. I supervised.

Then he had this wonderful thick antique mirror that already had the 4 corners drilled out to hang....but no frame, just kinda beveled. I scoured garage sales for old jewelery and bought tons of glass beads and charms and such. I hot glued them all around the edge of the mirror - not in a line or anything, just like 1-2 inches all over the place around it. RAINBOWEY!!!!! :thumbsup2 All these colors and glass (think of those rings you all got, all over it - kwim??? All mushy colorful colors!) Then Jimmy put one of those little lights above it, so the light hit it and it was so pretty!!!! :goodvibes

Then when we moved to Florida, the movers broke it. :guilty: And it really wasnt 'worth' anything, kwim?

Puke paint. Nice! I was inspired!

I liked I AM LEGEND. :confused3 Maybe youll like WALL*E then?

Maybe you should stick with the living room color. It is safe.

There's nothing wrong with the dk red - but not with a bright yellow kitchen. It doesnt flow right, IMO. Plus now, with a bright yellow and a khaki - tossing red into the mix is gonna be too mish-mosh of colors.

If you had kept that orange in your kitchen, you could have gotten away with the red.

No green. No. It's over done. AND again - the yellow and khaki, then green?? Mish moshy. Im telling you the puke color would be okay. :thumbsup2

YAY my DH finally got the internet working and now I can trounce all over the house with my birthday laptop! Weeeeeeeeeee!

Ok caught so I'm sorry to hear about the sicky. LOL about non puke moment. I like the coffee with cream color that Cat posted. I love my rings but can't take a picture at this time because they are still in a box from the move. LOVE the new fireplace Sun. It looks AWESOME! :thumbsup2

I LOVED Wall-E, hated I am Legend. Go firgure :confused3

I have so far painted DH's office, and the firplace. I am working on painting the master bedroom the same color as the fireplace.

Here is DH's office. The top isn't dry yet thats why it looks like a different color.
