Can anyone tell me about the excursions out of Grand Cayman to the Stingray City swim. Would a 9 yr old like this? How deep is the water? What company does Disney use for their excursions? Thanks for any help!!!

The water is about 3 feet deep, there were lots of kids that age, and we had a blast.
We didn't book through Disney, but contacted them directly. Their office is close to the place where the DCL-ships dock. Here's a link to their web-site: CLICK HERE

I have to echo Eric's comments above. We were on the same excursion in 2003 together. Captain Marvin's was great. We booked it on our own, and it was only a short walk from where the Magic tendered in. I would book with them again in a heartbeat.

I did it with Disney in February, my girls were 7 and 9 and loved it, it was one of the highlights of the cruise. I alsoe really enjoy it, the water was warm, the sea turquoise, it was an amazing experience.

9 year old would definitely love it. Look into private companies. Less money and less people. Capt. Marvin as mentioned above. Moby Dick tours, Soto's, Nativeway, Capt. Bryan are many others. Check around and have a great time.

We booked Capt. Marvins on our own and my then 4 year old LOVED it....she still talks about what a great time she had out there feeding the stingrays!
